Slipped off the radar, what does that mean? that he cant enhance your reputation, no? not the guy who knocked your block off, the guy the general public would probably pay through the nose for to see you rematch, which would make you a shed load of cash for a perceived easy nights work against a guy who has lost his last few fights, while you have improved as a fighter?

McCloskey is on the radar though, cause he's beaten fighters like Lauri, which is a better credential that knocking you out in 1 round, a guy who makes you less money?

I don't get why people are angry at Amir for not fighting Breidis. They fought, Khan lost, history will show that.

Now if it was a robbery that went Amir's or a really close fight, then I could see why people would be angry that Khan is refusing to rematch Breidis. Because history wouldn't reflect the performance, like it hasn't in so many cases.

As it happens Khan doesn't want to fight Prescott for whatever reasons. But it doesn't matter, Prescott already has a win against Amir so fair's fair. Amir wants to fight someone else.

Nothing wrong with that Chosen, but its when people like to marginalize his decision not to fight Prescott, to cover up precisely why! he doesn't want it, like its to do with Prescott's failings, that his own, when its makes all the sense in the world.

He doesnt wanna fight him cos beating a guy who lost to a career Super feather weight does nothing for him. He's already beaten Maidana, who's everything Prescott is, but a million times better.

Peterson would be a good warm up match for somebody like Bradley, and similarly Mcloskey is a great matchup as a southpaw against somebody like Alexander.

Prescott is a great warmup if u wanna fight the local windmilling boozer.

I don't see why he would be scared of Prescott though when he just went through hell with Maidana.

With Bradley or Alexander coming up next the last opponent I'd want to be in with is a one dimensional slugger looking for a big punch. Khan needs to get in some practice against a world class operator, someone who can box from range and test Khan's boxing ability, someone who can move in and out and throw with decent speed. Khan hasn't been in with anyone like that, he's always been the "much faster guy". Against Bradley or Devon, just being faster isn't going to cut the mustard.

That's why I thought Lamont Peterson is a great fight, because he ticks most the boxes to prepare for Bradley's style, he's obviously not as good but he's got decent speed, range and when needed the tenacity to move inside and get shots off.

For me, the time to rematch Prescott passed last July when the July 31st bout was scrapped and he had a 7 month layoff instead.

I dont know if he's scared or not, im not theorizing, all I know, is that he seems not to want it, and so is trying marginalizing Prescott's relevancy, despite claims to the contrary, IE the money he can make, the impact a win over him in a rematch, could have on the general public.

The glover fight was terrible. And he got schooled off mezaache after a great start, kinda like prescot vs vasquez.

I'm not saying he will be remembered as the guy who ducked thaxton lol, but there is no denying thaxton wanted the fight and would have been khan's best opponent right up until the mab fight.

It's not just khan, I don't like any fighters who avoid the domestic route. That's why I am pleased with degale fighting smith.

Not convinced he did lose the glover fight but it was a poor performance.

    I don't believe Mcclosky deserves a shot.

He needs to at least step up to world level and fight someone in the top 10 beforehand

As well from a fans point of view the prescot fight has two distinct advantages.

    1) the casual fans will lap it up due to the rematch scenario. It will get people talking about how the cocky kid has turned into a ballsy courageous man.

    2) It is a fight which I believe is one he is in real danger of losing, the atmosphere will be amazing; every time prescot throws a punch we will be on the edge of our seats.

I have come round to the benefits of a fight vs peterson, but paul has little benefit for khan, although it is a huge opportunity for him.

I don't get the "it'll be easy to promote" "it's a saleable fight", "the public will eat it up" reasons for wanting a fight. It's reasoning like that which makes promoters like Bob Arum think it's okay to chuck Manny Pacquaio in with fighters like Clottey coming of a loss, Margarito coming off 2 years without a win over a world class opponent and the same for Mosley.

I want the best fight for boxing reasons, I couldn't care less about promotion.

Prescott didn't get humiliated in 55 seconds.

    Big difference.

    55 seconds.
