the ortiz fight again is a bad example because his heart wasnt in it and he chose to quit. whether he would have actually been kayoed, we will never know will we. dont forget he had maidana hurt at one point also. we can think whatever we like, the fact is corley went 12 rounds with him. not that long ago hernandez smacked corley into what should have been retirement. again, kotelnik has a solid chin, we know this. but the amount of shots maidana landed, should be enough to stop anyone with the supposed power he carries. tito was able to stop mayorga, shane was able to stop margo, lamotta was able to stop robinson. yes he landed a good body shot on cayo. im not questioning his body punching prowess, i believe that is one of his strengths. but what he doesnt do, and what he hasnt done for a long time, is knock people out. he doesnt land clean shots and put peoples lights out the was hamed, foreman and many others with huge power have done.

Everybody is talking about Amir Khan and how far he can go in boxing. Amir Khan is something special. Hes tall, real fast, real slick, good boxer, good puncher and his skills are tremendous. He shows why he was the great amateur that he was and without question he is certainly has done very well with Freddie Roach in his corner. I really was impressed [by his fight against Malignaggi]. I like Paulie. I think hes one of the better boxers in boxing. He has real fast hands, tremendous boxing ability and Amir Khan wasnt bothered by it at all. Amir Khan is a tremendous prospect in boxing. Hes in a great division and he may be the best one out there. atsch
God knows. Maybe the same guy who put "WAR KHAN!! LAZARUS SAYS **** YOU" Banned him . Either way, a result :thumbsup. He might not leave, but these mini-bans make it worth it, I guess.
I really think lufc is being a bit silly now in saying that Maidana isn't a big hitter.. Maidana is a BIG hitter. right now, I'm more worried about his body shots if anything. His shots are rib cracking material.
In the event that Khan gets brutally KO'd, where do you think he will go from there? Would Roach train Maidana if Maidana wins?:huh
Maidana is one of, if not the hardest (ranked) puncher in that division hands down. I rate him ahead of Alexander in terms of punching power. I wont be suprised if Khan gets wobbly in there, but I wont be suprised if Maidana gets floored either.
