So much for Khan's popularity.It is clear without a big undercard Khan cannot drive a PPV event.

It's not about popularity. The card was ****. Major pull-outs. The Khan/McCloskey fight won't be a competitive one either. It's a very good decision. Nothing to do with Khan's popularity.

He was due to get £1.25Million, now that the PPV is gone, he'll be getting less than £250K - Once you subtract the Training costs and everything else from the £250K, he's literally fighting for nothing. McCloskey's making more than Amir in this fight.

I'm surprised Amir hasn't said **** this. Just a slap in the face to the people who think Amir's stingy.

 

Mr Warren will smile at this. Team Khan has received a very harsh lesson in promotion. So many boxers think it's so easy...

its a shame warren and khan dont get along, imagine warren co promoting with gbp and putting groves vs degale on the undercard, that would have been insane!

 

And this why Khan needs a professional team around him and not this bunch of 'cab-drivers'. So Khan is basically fighting for free, ouch, I wouldn't blame him if he pulled out. To add insult to injury, could you imagine if McCloskey ended up winning!!!!!!

You can't really blame his team on this one. Becoming partners with Hatton was a great move. We had Crolla/Rees and Macklin/Gevor, but since Gallaghers Gym pulled out of both, we are left with nothing.

This is actually bad news for him, because he'll have less incentive to beat McCloskey, and if he's not on the ball, then he could get screwed.

 

as i said before i really like mccloskey and hope he does well BUT i pray to god he does not win, i want to see khan vs bradley!!

 

Joe G didn't pull Macklin out.

His incentive for winning this fight was always the big summer fight with Bradley. I don't see how him being paid less gives him less incentive to win. :think

 

i hope he doesn't pull out, all that training and prep for jack ****? Plus would it be wise to be inactive for the bradley fight?
