However much he gets from PPV (Primetime or Sky). So nothing massive as he's not on Hatton/Haye levels but a decent sum.

The fight is going to do **** on the gate in the US - Khan doesn't take a massive following over and Bradley doesn't have many fans.

Bradley is lucky HBO is paying him this much so I don't know what else he's holding out for unless he has some issues with Shaw and wants to get rid of him.

It would be nice to see a unified champion for each weight class, but it's only a matter of time before Khan moves up and the division is splintered again (if he wins) or Sillyman enforces some other chump mandatory (if Bradley wins).

Until the leading fighters, TV networks and promoters all get together and stamp the alphabets out nothing will change - but do they want to?

A fighter that would probably have been a middling contender drawing five figure purses back in the 80's can today become a multiple weight world champion and make $1m+ per fight..... their promoter makes more money, the TV get to showcase more ''champions'' which will increase their viewing figures and so on.

As for Shaw..... I guess he's just taking advantage of the naivety of his fighters, this instance being Corrales. For all people criticise GBP (and I do quite a bit) there are seldom reports of fighters getting in disputes over $$$ as there are with pretty much everybody else.

It might be because they generally only take established fighters, and by that point both parties are reasonably aware of that particular fighter's worth..... whereas Shaw has to look in the bargain basement or at amateurs turning professional.... and has to play the game a bit more - however immoral that may be.

    From Fat Dan:

Been hearing Tim Bradley camp balking at @amirkingkhan. Supposedly rather take less $ from Gary Shaw than offered 4 Khan to face some1 else.

This whole Bradley-Khan thing could very well just be negotiating on the Bradley side. Hope it is.

Since It seems very unlikely Marquez will fight @superjudah 7/30, how about @amirkingkhan vs Judah 7/23 if Bradley doesn't take Khan fight?

@Hewito1 Khan has accepted a deal from his promoter and is ready to roll.

A fight between @AmirKingKhan and @SUPERJUDAH is a fine substitute if Bradley balks as far as I am concerned.

Exactly :deal. The thread title is hilarious...come on now...bottled it? really....?...Khan strikes fear into no fighter really. Bradley knows he can beat him but wants what he feels is right to him. I may not agree with what he wants but i understand what he's doing.

As for his promoter...well his times up with Bradley and he's trying to tie Bradley done to a deal for another 2 years. Bradley rightfully isn't fall into Shaws trap.

Am I missing something? Bradley - Alexander drew **** numbers and sounded like a library, Khan - McC had 17,000 and a great atmosphere. Why isnt the fight being held in England? Khan wont take great numbers to LV (not like Hatton anyway) and Bradley is about as much of a ticket seller as Paul Williams is.

The fight will go ahead. Bradley is not a ducker. He fought the number 3 in the division, has moved up in weight to fight an unbeaten fighter. Khan also wants the fight. I have full confidence that it will happen. But the US doesnt make much sense to me.

I'm not sure how Shaw can tie Bradley up for two years if he signs to fight Khan..... surely that's an unfair contract term?

There's a big difference between this and the option that GBP have to match any offer that Marquez is made by another promoter.

As for Khan, fight Zab.... it'll get him another title and a few quid. But stay the **** away from Marquez unless you want to lose :deal

It just doesn't work like that unfortunately. Historically WBC and WBA make linear but there is nothing to suggest that Judah or JMM winner isn't the best out there.

I remember when they did this at 135. I think Corrales vs Castillo winner was being called the best but Juan Diaz wasn't getting a look in. I think it was Diaz who then went from an average WBA titlist to beating Freitas and Diaz to unify the WBA, WBO and IBF.

I wish everyone would work historically and only give credit to the WBA and WBC and who unifies them but no one seems to know or care so all 4 belts are now pretty much equal and its based on who faces the strongest challenges.

Nah not really although tbh he's got Team Khan to make a mess of things so it wouldn't be like this it would be far worse.

I don't take much notice of this sorta stuff i only really get into things when fights signed and guys are in camp ready to fight.

If Bradley rejected 1.4m then he has become the new Wright and Marquez. Despite being good, he will hurt his career.

Judah and the IBF is a good substitute, nothing else. The IBF belt is irrelivent for me as Bradley should hold it (devon got stripped for a bull**** reason)
