:rofl At least we've making some progress. You made him sound like he had time warped from the Dark Ages initially. In your eyes he more or less held a club and chased antelope. It's not just punch selection mate. How many people can actually slip back from a shot naturally and fire off a brilliant counter? More importantly consider this: How many pressure/explosive/aggressive fighters can do that? He had the framework of an outstanding talent, you just don't see people doing that too often. It's one thing Manny Pac has added to his game, he's not just punching when you're not punching and punching with you, he can counter you. I consider being able to counter punch from the outside a very advanced skill for that type of fighter because its starting to hint at a fighter that can seamlessly transition between all ranges and styles. Valero wasn't quite there yet, but he could have been.
Just something I read from Doug Fischer about Edwin Valero when asked by a fan whos career ended up being the bigger disappointment,Valeros or Ike Ibeabuchis.
Ibeabuchi had better long term prospects IMO. Truly iron beard, immense strength and power. A fight with Lennox was definitely on the horizon, his wins over Tua and Byrd better than anything on Valeros resume as well. Fischer and Kim both suck balls, and always have. Punks, both of 'em.
:rofl :good Ya' know what? I'm gonna' put my differences aside and roll with that :deal The Holy Duo: like the Simon & Garfunkel of deranged boxers:tired
