Not to mention that there would need to be a rule that gloves would have to remain on until the decision is announced which wouldn't suit some guys who like to get the dirty stinking sweaty things off at the 1st opportunity.

Yep this and you do get so e fights that are nailed on draws, there are times as well where you think neither deserved to lose.

Felt a bit off to me that result,I'm not disputing the result as wilder had two knockdowns and Fury won rounds but both guys seemed ok with the draw and if anything its made the rematch more unlikely as it looks to me like both don't wanna risk a loss?

So people are saying they would not have liked to see another round with both fighters knowing its all on the line in wilder vs fury, or ggg vs canleo 1? Both fighters going into a final round knowing its all on the line would be epic imo.

Horrible, unfair idea. Each fighter will have worked so hard in various rounds, and will be drained by the last round.
Having one decider round would dismiss all the hard work and grinding put in previous rounds, its a scoring system, let the scoring do the talking. If anything, stop corrupt judging.

There is nothing wrong with a draw when it's legit.

Epic for you, bad for the sport, unethical for the fighters.

The judges ****ed up, blame them. Draw's are perfectly fine when they are legit,

There's nothing wrong with draws in my opinion, certainly in boxing.
If there has to be a winner due to an extra round, it can be used to favor the home/featured fighters even more.

Likely scenario here; 12 rounds, home fighter vs visiting fighter who holds a belt, most watching had it 7 to 5 for the visiting guy but we get a split draw from the judges (which is kinda fair because close fight) 115-113, 114-114, 113-115.
We get an extra round, in which both exhausted fighters go toe to toe and land about the same in volume and damage.
Guess 2 times who they score the round for?! For the referee? Wrong! For the visiting fighter?! Wrong again! It goes to the home fighter who then also takes the belt from the visiting one without deserving it.

Same goes for even rounds, like mentioned already. A lot of rounds are too close to call, but are still expected to be called in one of the boxer's favor... guess who such a close round goes to if not scored a draw, and this time I'll give you a hint... It's not the referee.

How about an 11th with a sudden death 12th? Fights should have an odd number of rounds anyway to help prevent draws.

The DeWitt-Thornton fight I posted above is actually worth watching.
If you just want to see how the 13th round system works go to 48:00 of the video.

That was in knockout tournaments though, where there had to be a winner to proceed to the next round. In one off fights they allowed for draws.

It did result in some epic moments though.

For me draws are fine if they're justified. The only way you can know if the fix is in is with open scoring though, and I don't buy the arguments against it anymore.

Bring in open scoring. It'll either force fighters to go for the KO or quit if they can't get back into the fight. Either way we the nonsense of a robbery.
