Boxers should always strive for legacy and greatness. You can never have too many great wins. If Calzaghe already had a stack of them he would be quite entitled to retire comfortable in the knowledge he was an ATG... but he doesn't.

Chad dawson is not a great fighter,
He needs to prove himself in europe and overseas just like calzaghe has done in america and germany,
Then he will be given more credit.

I don't even know him, but the way you said it was as if he was a total liar. Don't respond to this, I'm not talking about someone I don't even know's motives and eastsideboxing history.

Opinions don't really mean a whole lot of anything. Calzaghe has been an unbeaten World Champion for more than a decade. He has a good resume and will probablly retire unbeaten. That is a fairly good claim for "greatness" from any sensible perspective.

Yeah maybe Calazaghe should fight Oscar.

He will be known as the best SMW ever, if that's not enough for you or him well screw the both of you. He's fought for 18 years, enough is enough.

some you are so ******ed...how can you seriously say chad dawsons resume is stronger than calzaghe! dawson hasnt beaten any one remotely decent boxer close to his age, yet calzaghe has beaten many younger than himself.
all this double standards, the difference in age with calzaghe hopkins 6yr..jones 2-3 yrs....kessler -7yrs. lets see chad dawson....tarver 13-14yrs...johnson 13-14 yrs...the opponent before 5-6 years..all older.

No they will be like... erm who the **** is chad Dawson that's what. Like it or not, Calzaghe has got to the stage where he actually wants some massive pay checks and he's just earned one. Why fight a young fighter who no one really gives a **** about for high risk low gain. If Calzaghe wins..' oh well Dawson wasn't all that.' If he loses... 'OMNZ CALZAGE EXPOSED.' etc. its lose lose.

Jones and Toney would beat Calzaghe h2h at 168. The 1994-96 version of Jones embarrasses Calzaghe at smw.
