Believe me if he fought as long or as often as Gavilan he would have cracked some tough chins. Especially at Welter where i think he was a pretty good puncher, at MW his power was just a decent puncher. His punch almost grabbed him a ko in Hearns II and the result would have been the same as the first of it was a 15 rounder.
Like I said earlier in the thread, it's this quality that was more impressive to me than almost anything else in Leonard's arsenal. Certainly more so than his actual pure punching power.
You have a post right above you saying that Louis had good footwork, aren't you going to comment? I thought you would be the first in here to tell us how he was 'slow and plodding like George Foreman was'.
