I agree... but I also disagree. I have no idea how much Wladimir would stand to earn by fighting Haye in London, as opposed to Arreola in Los Angeles. That would definitely draw the fans in Arreola's hometown, and Chris actually has become popular here in the states. Besides that, money clearly isn't the issue with Wlad. The man refuses to allow HBO to show his fights on PPV, so he clearly isn't just out for the most money. I think that Wlad is out for his legacy. Yes, the Champions make the title... however, if he abandons them, then people will talk about how he "isn't the undisputed Champ". It is very important for Wlad to win over all of the fans, and establish himself as the greatest of his era. I think that gaining the belts really means something to him... even if the sanctioning organizations have become more of a hinder to the sport. People still act like you have to get all of the titles to be considered "undisputed". Personally, I think that it's nonsense, and the people should really decide who the true Champ is.

Now, as far as Haye being a much larger event... I definitely agree. However, I also must say that by rushing this fight too soon, I think that they are ruining what could possibly be the biggest fight since Lewis/Tyson. If they promoted this thing the right way. Each of them fought at least one... possibly two more times against top contenders in a prime time slot... we would have ourselves a MEGA event. It is clearl that Chagaev and Valuev won't be put anywhere near Wlad. It would be great if Haye could land a fight with one of them, get the WBA title, and add that to the mix as well. If not... at least clean out one or two dangerous top contenders... calling out Wlad after the fight, telling him that he is coming for him, ect... man people eat that **** up. As it stands right now.... it would be a big event. It would be great for Haye because he is basically in a win-win situation. He wins, bam... he got it all. If he loses, he gets the payday, and so what... he lost to the best Heavyweight in the world. For Wlad.... if he wins, then people can say that Haye wasn't proven at heavyweight, and that he was just a blown up cruiser. If Wlad loses... then he is really screwed.

See what I mean? Wlad doesn't really stand to gain all that much by fighting Haye at this point.... however it is still looking like he is willing to do so, and has even pushed Vitali out of the picture.

Vlad defeats have been pretty embarresing ones........simply by there nature of to whom in question.

His loss to R. Purrity is a hugeeeee X against him in terms of the possibilty for him to into vlahalla with the other greats.

All great fighters coming up in one form or another had that testing momement.......weather they were knocked down or fought below par......the only exception was that 9 times out of 10 they didnt fail this test.

Vlad met Purritty and pounded him around for round after round but to fall to him in the 11th........

His loss to Sanders was one of the worst defeats any big time fighter ever lost.....and yet again to a fighter that was distincly B class.

His lost to Brewster...fair enough it happens.....and he redeem himself.

But to lose to Purrity period.....isnt brilliant stuff.

To lose to Sanders......well the guy can punch and is fast but his boxing skills are way below even an elite amteur fighter nevermind a pro.

Vlad would go along way in terms of History if he could defeats Haye and Povetkin in one year as they both the best up and coming heavies who well be the tops dogs for the next 5 yrs.

Haye former undisputed cruiserweight champ........fastest heavy around, plus amongst the elite for punching.

Povetkin.......former Olympic gold medal winner........a man who dosent know how to lose.

I think that Wlad's losses prove one thing. That earlier in his career, he could be vulnerable when going up against fighters that people gave no hope to beat him. If you have noticed... Wlad ALWAYS beats the best opponents that he has faced. Not only that... but he dominates them. It isn't uncommon for a talented fighter like Wlad, with all of his abilities to become complacent, and not take lesser opponents seriously. It shows what a great champion he is... that he is able to overcome those losses and become the dominating Champ that he is today.

Well, actually the first knockdown was a combination of a left from Sanders, along with the head being slammed back into Sander's own head... which caused the nasty cut above Wlad's left eye. If you noticed, he was hit on the right side of his face, and he got up with a huge cut over his left eye. It was from the head.

It is the only GIF that I kept from your post above... watch it closesly, it's actually plain as day.

    Yeah... what about him?

  12. IT was pretty clear that Sanders, beat the living Hell out of Wlad, no doubt:hi:good quick clean conclusive ending:good i love knockouts when no doubt is left in the ring..
To bad there was never a rematch:verysad

  13. Both guy's heads came together it looked like a bar fight, then Wlad just dropped, Sanders was clearly physically stronger than Wlad, WK was to young at 24-25, and was already KO'D by Purrity, he just wasn't ready for this fight...

    You're right in Wlads case.

I think the best way to build it up would be for Haye to get the shot, and lose in an 11th round TKO, when both guys have hit the deck at least 2 or 3 times. A crazy, wild slugfest with 2 guys with big power and average chins. (which is pretty conceivable. Can't see Haye going in solely with the intention of lasting 12 rounds)

Haye then has all the excuses listed above, goes and grabs the WBA belt and depending on Vitlays body, one of either Wlad or Haye grabs the WBC. (preferable Haye, then it's 2 belts each). WBA more likely if he gets let into the Eastern European stranglehold on that belt (chagaev - Valuev circle).

Imagine if Haye KO's Valuev to get the belt??

Now how big is the revenge rematch?

But yes, what does Wlad do if he loses? Well, he's smart, he'd have a rematch clause I'm sure :D
