@Quina74 what does having a good amateur record have to do with having a good defence in professional boxing career? In professional boxing, maybe he chose to use his power instead of his boxing skills, because it's easier to guarantee the win by knockout than by points. I watched last 10 fights of Golovkin and he got battered a lot. If it weren't for his iron chin, he would've been knocked down at least 20 times so far. And people say he lost fights to Canelo, Derevyanchenko, Jacobs because he gets hit a lot due to his weak movement and defense. When he can't knock out his opponents and wins by decision, people criticize him of being favored by the judges, all because HE GETS HIT A LOT.
The question was: 'Analyse the style of your favourite boxer' You said you didn't have a favourite, so why comment at all?
It's on ESPN+. Use a VPN. I'm hoping Inoue takes out Donaire in brutal fashion, but I have a very bad feeling about this fight. Donaire is older, but he's wiser, bigger, punches just as hard as in his prime, and only a tick slower. And he's ruthlessly dispatched of his last opponents though highlight reel KOs.
When I spar, I tend to be more on the outside but I wish I can box like Roman: This content is protected I'm now studying the Soviet style: This content is protected
@DoubleJab666 Because lately I've been thinking a lot about GGG vs Canelo 1 & 2 and Canelo vs Bivol. I was wondering why Golovkin struggled so much against Canelo in both fights and why Bivol made it look too easy. Then I compared Bivol and Golovkin. I realized Golovkin can't box. He relies solely on his vicious power. Which didn't work against Canelo who moves well. Abel Sanchez, who trained Golovkin for over 9 years, is in the same opinion with me: https://sportsinghana.com/2022/03/1...hment-by-trying-to-box-says-abel-sanchez.php/
I love this post. Holmes learned to box the correct way. He has said that the ONLY punch his trainer allowed him to throw during his first 6 months of boxing was the jab.
Context: Inoue is pretty much my favourite fighter style wise. He'll handle Donaire easily enough because he's a tick slower...
@DoubleJab666 I think there is and will be lots of threads on GGG vs Canelo 3, more and more people will realize the same thing, because they saw how miserable Canelo was against Bivol.
As far as textbook boxer goes ...he's technically almost perfect... Good at setting traps for his opponent and is very capable offensively but truly shines when he has a dance partner who comes to take his head off.... His combination punching is possibly the greatest in the sports long rich history... definitely in my lifetime....his chin while not cast iron is made up for by his ability to recover...power in both hands ,impeccable timing....while not your typical Mexican fighter he definitely carries the traits deep down that are almost ingrained in every elite fighter they've ever produced....that machismo and willingness to go to war, heart of a lion...balls like ****in spacehoppers... Juan Manuel dinamita Marquez.. It was an absolute privelage to see your career
Golovkin boxes at world level, but when he puts his mind to it he can practically walk through anybody and take them out. That's why only 3 apponents made it 12 rounds. Canelo made it because he is Canelo, who is very special with his defense chin, strength., and boxing skills. The judges got him the draw and the win though.
