not me, i looked over to my bro and said 'this will be identical to Reyes/Jones " judges always favor the fighter that wins the last two, especially if they are the champ.I do think it was bs, but not shocked.
UFC done everything they can with Max, time for a new star, show, episodes. Its sick, but that's the business side of the shh. Had it 3 - 2 for Max myself.
USMAN easy win here, clown. No chance here. Never in doubt. GTFOH. If you really thought Masvidal has more than a lucky strike/shot KO chance against Usman, you have no ****ing clue about MMA. Another media hyped casual who thinks he knows MMA hahahaha Made some nice money with Usman here. Too easy. Decision and ML <3
Jorge did great though lol. He stuffed most of his takedowns and Usman looked bad for not being able to finish a gassed Masvidal. He didn't even hurt him, the most damage done in the fight was a clash of heads.
wasn't exactly a domination, I thought Uzman looked awful, but i did say on my other post that uzman could beat jorge with a ud by wrestling him and tiring him. I didn't see a completely different level fighter dominate. I saw a champion who got hurt a lot against a guy who rolled out 6 days out of the couch and cut 20lb.
Jorge did better than Woodley, Maia and RDA who lost 10-8 rounds. The loser of the fight looked better than the winner.
How did the loser look better? The only time I saw Uzman look hurt was when it looked like he got kneed in the nuts a couple times while smooshing Masvidal against the cage.
I do think a Masvidal with a full camp prep for Uzman would of had the fight looking different. More sticking and moving. More knees, and countering. A couple times Uzman just walked in real slow, ducked down and reached for Masvidal's leg. Masvidal didn't have the energy to plant a knee in his face.
watch the full fight, not highlights, jorge was smashing uzman's leg, cracked him few times to the head. In the 1st round landed a knee to the body that took the air out of Uzman, had him leaning on his corner during break with his head down.
I watched the full fight, and am more a fan of Masvidal than Uzman, but I don't ignore shots that Uzman landed also. Sure the round that Masvidal won was more satisfying to watch, but I won't ignore the shots that Uzman landed throughout the fight. He landed some solid punches and elbows. He didn't look busted up that I recall.
Can't say when seeing Usman fight for the 1st time and then again during the ultimate fighter he ever stood out as more then your typical athletic and strong wrestler but he has clearly worked hard and improved his skills to become a dominant UFC champ in what has always been 1 of the toughest and deepest divisions in mma. Not a fan at all of how he fights but Usman has already put himself in the discussion among best welterweights of all time, behind GSP and I don't see Burns beating him if that's who he fights next.
