That Glencoffe Johnson was as poor an opponent for Groves as Robin Reid was for Anderson.

People trying to make out that an old coming out of retirement Johnson offered Groves more than an old out of retirement Robin Reid offered Kenny Anderson...

To all the mugs who slaughtered me here for saying that Groves-Johnson was as **** poor a fight as Anderson-Reid, do you believe me now? Groves won at a canter, & the fight could have been stopped in the 7th, the round I predicted Groves would win.

For once though, britref had a bout of common sense and I nearly died when he didnt award Groves a stoppage win!

Look, this thread aint a dig at Brit ESB, just the ****s who slaughtered Kenny Anderson for beating an old Robin Reid, but wouldnt dare question George Groves fighting an old Glencoffe Johnson. You know who you are peeps, you know who you are...:deal

Glen Johnson from the first bell looked like he wanted to go home to Miami and sit on the beach with a pina colada. Just not at all arsed. He's an old man. The tank was completely empty, just didn't at all look interested in winning. Wanted his a last payday and that's it. In round 7 when Groves threw EVERYTHING at him, he didn't look phased but made no effort to defend or get of the ropes. He wouldn't have been bothered in the slightest had the ref stopped it.

To be fair to him, he's tough as old boots. Groves could have hit that ****er with a missile from a fighter plane and Johnson still wouldn't have gone down. I hope he retires again now though and goes back to the sunny Miami beaches. He deserves to enjoy a nice life like that after the career he's had.

TBH Glen came to do what he had to do, Reid bless him tried to win his fight with Anderson and made a good go of it.

Quite sad watching Glen tonight, it just isnt there anymore, even against someone who really isnt that good. Hopefully he got a good pay day and can retire now. He has nothing left to prove to anybody, he has shocked the world and been in with the very best.

'Coming out of retirement Johnson'. You make it sound like Glen had been out of the ring 3 years.
