As far as the Lightweight tournament in itself is concerned I still would have liked to seen Mosley win the fantasy fight with Henry Armstrong. Me and Power Puncher were the only ones who saw it in Mosley favor.

Yes I did, I actually have every Mosley fight on DVD except for maybe around three fights. But it's funny you mentioned that fight because Larry Merchant had a good quote during that fight in regards to Mosley not looking so spectacular when he said "even Sugar Ray Robinson did'nt always look like Sugar Ray Robinson".

I'm pretty sure in Armstrong's long and allustrious career he had some nights where he did'nt look his best even when he was suppose to.

You could look at it that way..Also it was his first title shot against a far more experienced foe and there was talk around the time that his training wasnt 100% for the fight..He was using supplements I think and it actually ended up hindering him down the stretch.

But you could also look at it this way..Holiday was the best fighter he faced at lightweight and he wasnt entirely convincing in that fight.
All the other blokes he faced were fairly average and its really hard to gauge just how good Shane was at 135 considering his opposition wasnt all that good overall.
Whereas Harry's was absolutely top shelf and he consistently performed well against them.

I saw it in Mosley's favour.

To be honest doubt he would've made any major waves. Armstrong vs Pea was a very good discussion, Pea vs Mosley would not have been so competitive IMO

    p4p duran is better than mayweather , but h2h in 135 , 140 , 147 , 154 duran loses to mayweather.
i respect duran more , but what i said is a fact.
duran lost on points to dejesus , i know he avenged it by stoppage , but he wouldn't have stopped floyd , he'd just lose to floyd on points in about 9-10 times out of 10.
and i thought duran is not overrated.

Thanks for all the replies everyone!

By the way, everyone, it's not like any of this was fixed. Duran got matched randomly with the likes of Laguna and Mayweather, boxers whom one might envisage a stylistic match-up not in his favour. But THE FORUM voted in his favour, i could only vote once for each fight.

    Why is it fact mate?

Its just an opinion and one not a whole lot of informed boxing fans would agree with.

Mayweather arguably lost to Castillo aswell...so that whole chestnut works both ways.

True, but his second display was quite convincing

It was clear cut but I dont think it was overall that convincing...not as convincing as Duran's rematch with DeJesus.

    Ike Williams was robbed.

He was robbed in my tournament too, by Arguello. I think if they faced each other now, more people would vote for Williams.

Unfortunately probably not enough people got in and voted for that one.

And actually I think I was one of them...I thought out aloud in a post or two but never actually put in a official vote..well not one I think teeto would have counted anyway as Im pretty sure I just said I was leaning towards Ike at that stage.
