I hear Hector Lombard is comming to the ufc to fight Silva. I have seen Lombart fight and I think he might be able to beat Silva. He is a good take down fighter that uses judo throws with good ground and pound and is strong as an ox.

Well, no. But he is a heavy puncher and has a Judo background so the guy would be tough in any aspect.
AS would TKO him, but I would like to see !!

I want to see Lombard in with someone I know to be a upper class opponent. If he does his normal thing against a high caliber opponent, then yes. Lombard could be a serious threat for Silva.

Make it happen, it is not like Silva has loads of viable opponents.

It'll be one hella of a size difference if they fight. Wouldn't want to be giving up height and reach against Anderson.

I'm thinking that he will get a shot if he beats Boetsch, just to give Belcher and Weidman a chance to sort out their place in the division. Preferably against each other.

Lombard hits very hard, but he is a wild striker, and he would have a very big reach disadvantage against Anderson. He has very good judo and ground skills, but with that, he also has a suspect gastank. I don't think he could grind out a five round decision against Anderson without getting caught with something, and I doubt that his initial blitzkrieg would put him away, either. But, I would still love to see it.

I think Lombard is a threat. But I thought Sonnen was a threat. I thought Belfort was a threat. I thought Hendo was a threat. Silva will find a way to beat Lombard, but if Lombard beats Boetsch he deserves an eliminator with Weidman, or a four-man tournament with Weidman, Bisping and Belcher to work out who the best challenger is. Lining up all four for the next two years of Silva's career would be a waste of time, we need an undisputed #1 contender for Silva now, not just anyone that's strung together 2 decent wins or so.

I think the way to beat Silva is to take him down and ground and pound him.

Lombard has the great take downs and ground and pound plus he will be very hard to submit as he is well versed in submision from his judo back ground.

People need to stop thinking that because huge TRT-aided world-class wrestler Chael Sonnen could take down and control Silva that anyone and everyone can.

Lombard may have good judo throws, but he is also 5ft 9in with a very short reach. It seems likely that the Spider would be able to light him up with strikes using his range and accuracy.

I think the guy who can beat Silva has to be a take down style fighter. I don't think out striking Silva is a good strategy. Lombard is an expert at take downs and has the strength to man handle Silva. Silva won't be able to submit him like he did Sonnen and Henderson as they come from wrestling back grounds.

Bjj comes from Judo the Gracies learned their Bjj in Japan and just took the submisions to turn that into a sport. Lombard also transitions from striking to throwing to ground and pound to submison as good as any fighter I have ever seen outside of Fedor.
