I was just reading a MMA magazine and they mentioned this fight, and brought me back to the Cage Rage days..... It was really a pretty insane show in many ways (ring girls for example) !

But that fight Murray vs AS was really really fun to follow in 2004.....

The pvt Mag mentions a new thing also, not said at time as far as I can remember, that Murray ripped the flag of Brazil
And some quotes of AS saying that it was the most hostile atmosphere before a fight he ever faced.....

Also, I liked much more this AS from these days than I like now, when he is a spoiled athlete, too "pop" at least here doing beer commercials, smiling and trying to be nice all the time to the TV.....
These days he had the eye of tiger, focused and hungry...

So basically, what was your thoughts about this fight and since there are many brits here, what about Murray ?
What´s the opinion of the MMA forum about this crazy guy ?
I know he was convicted by a Huge robbery, but is/was he talked, he is famous in UK ?

And remember... Murray koed José Pele (yeah, I´m mentioning Pele again in a thread, sorry :D ) great feat !

Murray in all honesty was a very talented fighter but he was an ******* and a psychopath.
Apart from that robbery he was involved in an epic fight outside a club in central London where he nearly died. IIRC he was stabbed numerous times once in the heart and lost a ton of blood as it gushed out of his chest at the scene. Like i said dude was a head case.

I'm sure that happened on the same night. Was a few years ago. But Tito always denied getting his ass handed to him on a plate. :yep

He always has, but that seems to be in tito's nature. But other fighters there say they saw Tito lose.

to be honest scula, besides punching power I never saw anything special about Lee Murray.

Yeah Lee's an animal, shame his visa problems prevented him from going to the States to fight in the UFC. His life may have turned out differently...but I seriously doubt it. The guy is legit insane. Such a waste of potential, but I guess that crazy streak is what made him a fighter

Well Pat Miletich & Matt Hughes, amongst others have both confirmed it, but of course I believe Tito...:D

Murray was pretty good, but Anderson really had few problems beating him. The hype for the fight and the drama is fun, but when it came to the fight, Anderson was obviously very clearly superior.
