Wow, way to miss the concept. So if Miguel Torres loses to Brock Lesnar, Brock is better pound for pound? Yes it's all opinion.
"Stay busy" probably is the wrong term. I should have said staying busy in an very marketable fight, and drawing in as much money as possible. Liddell's hands are extraordinarily heavy. Liddell has the ability to paralyze opponents with just a couple blows. Liddell is one of the top 5 most marketable opponents in MMA. Liddell is also a weight class higher than Silva. Can Silva handle the size difference? These are all the reasons people have to tune in. In reality, this is an easy fight for Silva. Forget the fact that Silva's striking is technically better than Liddell's, and by a good margine. Imagine for a moment the are equal in this regard. Silva's speed is way too much, and all but guarantees victory for him. Silva will catch Chuch with something quick, drop him, and then you'll here " AND IT'S ALL OVER."
I'm not so sure Silva has the power to stop Liddell with one combination. I think it's more likely that he would outstrike Liddell with stick and move tactics for 3 rounds. Liddell's two KO losses have put the impression in people's minds that he has no chin - but in reality he has taken solid shots from opponents his whole career. As George Foreman would say he says you hit me three and four times so I can hit you once. It's always worked to his advantage in the past. Rampage and Evans are strong fighters and the shots they used to take out Liddell would have hurt anyone.
I think Silva certainly has the possibility to drop Chuck with one punch and then stop him after he is down. The placement of his shots in combination with speed make Silva's striking very lethal. Many say punches/kicks you don't see coming will do more damage than those you anticipate.
