What I mean is the possibility is there for both fighters. But has the opportunity to prove he is the better fighter and Andrade and the opportunity to get revenge.

So how far away across the ring does he have to be for you to consider it "being out of the neutral corner"?

I mean he was half way across the ring. :huh

That's one big ass corner if he's still considered in the neutral corner!

He has already proved that he is a better technical fighter - we even knew this prior to the fight.

Other than that - okay :).

    ^

Their were some major steps but did he really didnt have to delay the count like that. I mean it wasnt like Andrade was gonna punch him or anything during the count.

:lol: Damn, thats a big ownage.

Not that it would of mattered. Bute was up before a normal 10 count anyway and the round/fight was over.

Few steps? He's nearly in the middle of the ring.

Bottom line, I want to see a rematch and to be fair the telecast didnt show Andrade when the ref was counting. They just showed a close up on the ref and that's it.

Exactly. And these people defending that corrupt ref are pathetic.

Whats more interesting in that pic is look at Bute, if the count went on as it should and the ref asked Bute to respond, no way he would have.

and what difference does it make if Andrade is in the neutral corner or not, the ref's focus needs to be on Bute to see if hes ok or not, ref was completely aware that there was no more time left on the clock and knew Andrade could do no more.

The round was over and if Andrade was in his corner maybe the ref would of stoped it, but Andrade is too blame.

It's funny how everyone continues to complain about the ref in this scenario...if he counts bute out of the fight with little or no time left, he turns into another Richard Steele and is criticized by all of the Bute supporters and the media...I think this was a "no win" type of situation for the ref in charge. It was a judgment call and he made one. He was going to take abuse from the media and the fans either way, so why not give the hometown hero the benefit of the call?

The only way to answer any of these valid arguments is to schedule a rematch. I think Andrade and the fight public deserve to see who the true Champion is. I have seen fighters hurt much less than Bute when the ref stops the fight. Vernon Forrest's fight with Ricardo Mayorga, for example...that fight was stopped, and in my opinion, Vernon looked a lot better than Bute.

I think, honestly, that people are making too much of the delayed count...i think that a better argument would be that the ref should have stopped the fight before that potentially harmful pot-shot that put Bute down. Bute was already out on his feet and could have been seriously injured.

Either way, I think we need a rematch!!
