    Reid was too fast plus he was a 154 pounder. He would beat Berto easily by decision at this point.

    Reid would smoke him. If he hadn't that droopy eye problem, David Reid would have been a high quality champion.

    I guess it would be a good time to let the OP know that david reid was
    a big jr middle while berto is a small welter. Also, reid was a gold medalist
    who just met a hall of fame puncher way too early in his career, and it
    ruined him. A prime reid would've wrecked, WRECKED, i say, WRECKED
    Berto.

    He was basically forced to take the Tito fight, he had no choice. He couldn't fight much longer with his eye getting worse, and he had to get that payday while it was still there.
