It was only his seventh fight, that's right. But against Hanshaw, Dirrell had also some similar problems: going all offense and getting hit badly. He seems to be sometimes nonchalant. Maybe he won't be like this against Froch, and that would be better for him.
His style hasn't changed much since, as I pointed out earlier. Good for him if he doesn't make that kind of mistake anymore.
What concerns me about Direll and Ward is their IMMATURITY in the ring. Just because you have ability to fight Orthodox and Southpaw doesn't mean you have to keep switching throughout each round of EVERY fight. They think they are CONFUSING their opponent...But in reality their CONFUSING themselves...Find a style/stance that the most effective against an opponent...AND STICK WITH IT!!!!
The only difference in this thread is that Swagger finally learn how to write in English. Good for you... but pointless thread anyway.
Hmmmm 11 rounds is a bit of an embellishment isn't it, for maybe 4 rounds did he have it all his way and about another 3 that he outboxed Froch in closer rounds. Also I disagree that he was out of shape, he was in the same shape he always is but Froch made him fight the whole fight with no breaks. Surely stamina is an important part in the makeup of fighters and some naturally don't have as good stamina as others! Also with regards to Dirrell a lot of fighters get caught early in their career and Hatton got saved a few times by the bell or the ref (micky van) early on.
I agree this point with Dirrell but I dont think ward is immature in the ring at all. he is calm and composed and doesnt crack. the big test will be kessler but it hink he will be jsut fine
word to big bird. i mean we all know in boxing anything is possible. its not like dirrell is a slouch. but its funny how all the brits automatically assume it wil be a blow out
