I don't hear kov goes to media and scream robbery anymore. But almost everyday there is s video of ward convincing himself he won. Nobody need convincing, kovalev is probably enjoying summer in Australia lol
Eh, a lot of that has to do with him being eastern European. It just isn't part of Russian culture to make excuses or anything. He could have won the fight 12-0 and scored 3 knockdowns and gotten robbed and he wouldn't complain too much about it.
No I legitimately hate a lot of people that I've never met because I can read people really well and usually know when they're good guys or not, and so can you and most other people, you don't need to be personal friends with Ted Cruz or Dick Cheney to know they're massive pieces of ****, you just know one when you see one. Just because I have a wealth of knowledge I can't disconnect myself from my emotions like so many other people do (or at least pretend like they do), I call it like I see it, I think Ward is a sanctimonious, pious, pompous, ***hole who's deciding to try to assassinate the character and performance of Kovalev because he's disappointed in his own performance and knows he lost, its by the numbers projection at its finest.
The rematch should be an immediate one. I don't see any reason for either guy fighting anyone else unless it's to unify the division (i.e. against Adonis.) Besides that, they should fight have their rematch as soon as possible. It was a very close (and entertaining) fight. It'll be interesting to see if the rematch takes place in Vegas or if Ward will be stringent during negotiations and push for a change in venue location. Kovalev and his team need to do their best to adhere to whatever demands are requested in order to get the rematch immediately.
DO you forget what sport we're talking about? There isn't such a thing as iron clad agreements anymore in this sport. Have you also heard about step aside money, something that's become a lot more prevalent over the years in boxing? I've been reading/watching a bunch of interviews both men have been giving post-fight including from Kathy Duva. I am well aware of the immediate rematch clause, but in this sport you really never know.
My source is not YT but a friend who works with RNS. I told y'all Cotto was floating fighting Kirkland, and then BS reports it yesterday or today.
I think he knew he lost, but Now is really playing it up though. How anyone gave Ward the 10th round is beyond me. He got smoked with the harder shots, and several more. Hopefully Kov is more motivated now and knocks him out cold. Ward looked like he was just trying to survive 80% of that fight. IF you're the smaller, faster, MUCH less powerful and supposedly better boxer, you better be doubling up your opponent if you want that 10. Its a joke that Ward was getting the 10 when he barely outlanded Kov, doing absolutely no damage. Compubox should have looked like 19-10 or so for Ward after the rounds he won. He should have been clearly outboxing Kov is my point to get a round. And he wasn't atleast 8 rounds of that fight. While some rounds were close landed punch wise, the power of the punches and damage inflicted wasn't close. That decision was a joke.
Yea that amazing inside game, Tie up, throw little short shots like a girl slapping you. Its real effective! Maybe to slow Kov down, sure, other than that it was useless and annoying.
I do not blame him everyone keeps dissing him and shitting on his win when people are forgetting two things 1. He is not the judges nor did he had any control over the scorecards 2. people forget that he got back up after getting dropped Kovleav gassed and he won some key rounds (if you mute Lampley bias for just one fight)
No doubt about it. And the and the way he's been flapping his lips ever since the fight goes to show deep down he knows he didn't win. And he's probably noticed 70-80% of the population doesn't think he won either.
