Andre "The Matrix" Dirrell vs Lucian "Battleship" Bute

If its judge fair then Dirrell by a clear cut UD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Don't see Dirrell taking this at all. It will start off slow but Bute will press for it more but with Dirrell's speed it would be hard to land bodyshots on him. Not an easy fight for Bute but a clear decision imo. People are looking at Dirrell's talent which he has a lot of but aren't looking at his lack of focus which would cost him when facing Bute. I can't see anything but a stinker but I'm hoping it'll be worthy of watching. Definitely will see highlights.

easily my 2 favorite SMW's and the 2 best to watch. Bute's more of a fighter but Dirrells got a slight technical edge and an edge in speed. I think Bute will take the fight to him and Dirrell will move and potshot like he did vs Froch except Bute being much more elusive than Froch will lead to Dirrell having less success than he did in the Froch fight and he'll be getting hit more often....I see Bute by UD or late TKO/KO especially if Dirrell comes with his suspect weak mental game.....although Dirrell's my 2nd fave SMW, supremely skilled and great to watch he's potentially a mental midget when the going gets rough and a Bute fight would expose whether or not that's true cause when Bute smells weakness he goes for the kill and there's few better finishers in the sport

 

Now , Dirrel remains the only legit choice for Bute after Hopkins,Froch and Ward bouts have "failed" .

It would be a great fight for Bute because Dirrell is a younger fighter than him , has good speed and technique and he fought in the s6 but he ( Dirrell ) would lose this fight. Bute has better weapons in his arsenal than Dirrel , like: boxing inteligence ,one punch k.o power , better footwork , he's mentally stronger. So I think Bute would win by decision but Dirrell would give him some troubles in that match due his speed.
Don't forget that Bute has good speed too, plus a slick defense.:yep

I will enjoy watching Dirrell running, try to run, then quitting.

 

There was not 1 millisecond left in the fight. Andrade didn't had time to spit on him from the other corner of the ring. That's why he was so aggressively closing on Bute from the neutral corner when the count was happening and the referee noticed that. Health or safety... doesn't count because he was dropped with 4-5 seconds left in the fight, got counted until 8 and the fight was over as soon as he got up. There was nothing that could jeopardize his health and safety as long as Andrade respected the rules and was remaining in the neutral corner, but Andrade wanted one more last shot and he was at a moment in the middle of the ring(there was a picture somewhere)

I am really surprised, in a pleasant way, to see people considering Bute vs. Dirrell a legit fight.
Personally I don't. But hey, my opinion weights nothing more then 1 vote. The majority chooses.

 

What's so tricky about it? One hit bellow the belt and your gloves will be full of moisture or even worse, you can loose them in there.

 

for the 1000000 time, last round...u just need to get to your feet to end fight...have a look at the rules....and is this the only reason u say canada = robery....if not give me other examples.

 

their was. gave the count to ref at 4 sec, count it yourself from moment bute hits the canvis. this has bin discussed for to long already. anyways...bute by stoppege, TKO by the 10th.
