I'd say that the Cuadras fight was competitive sort of like how the Pac vs Vargas fight was. But in both the right fighter won who took basically 8 out of 12 rounds. I'm not even sure that it's safe to say that Cuadras is levels below Ward and Kovalev. I'd say that there's a small gap but he was 35-0-1 going into his fight with Gonzalez, had won a title and defended it six times already. His record isn't much worse than Kovalev's and he's five years his junior. But what you are missing is how Gonzalez had his own close fight with another p4p guy in Estrada. Both of those guys looked better in that fight than Kovalev and Ward did in this. And that was like two weight classes ago for both of them. Gonzalez is already in his fourth weight class, which is more than you can say for Ward or Kovalev. As good as they are, I don't see them being real competitive with Usyk just one weight class above them.
How do you have a draw when one of the rounds were 10-8? Doesn't make sense unless you score rounds even.
Lol at giving Gonzo 9 rounds to 3 in the Cuedras fight... my word, shits like guy saw the fight upside down in slow motion with I believe I can fly in the background.
"Clearly won," is a bit of a stretch. I think either man winning by 1 point or a draw would be perfectly fine. There wasn't a decisive winner in that fight IMO.
Great fight with both competitors showing hearts of champions. Kovalev displayed his power early in the fight and caught Ward with a great right hand putting him on the canvas, but Ward showed an iron chin, getting back up and back into the fight. In the championship rounds, for the first time I saw the look of fear and frustration on Kovalev's bloodied face. Ward had matched Koavlev in inside strength and his constant body attack was really being felt by Kovalev in the latter rounds. He actually began groaning and wincing whenever Ward landed to the body. Kovalev was also rocked by a left to body, left hook to head combination and later in the round, by a sharp right hand. Had this been an old school 15 round fight, I'd predict a 14 round KO by Ward.
I was watching the fight you obviously didn't watch, plus since I was there I wasn't influenced by some bias commentating, take Wards balls out of your mouth, wipe the cum out of your eyes and learn how to score a boxing match "lmfao".
Seen the fight in crystal clear 55 inch 4K HD tv with no distractions. The commentary was biased for Kova not counting Kellerman. Didn't influence the way the fight planned out though, 7 rounds to 5 You can cry as much as you like, the right man won. 8)
Ward should move back to Showtime. Lampleys bias was a disgrace. Kellerman had to correct him a number of times.
You say clearly, yet only have it by 1 point yourself in a fight Ward was puched back, knocked down, wobbled and didnt look the winner to what I understand is the majority
