    Not really when you factor in how many times he's had American refs for his fights. I'll give you a clue: Every single one of them. Go check Boxrec and see how many times he's had Californian ones for his fights in his home state (and 2 or 3 Californian judges). IIRC, something like 21 of his 28 pro fights have been fought in his home state and he hasn't had a fellow Californian ref for only a few of them. And on one of those occasions he didn't it was only because Arthur Abraham's team threatened to pull Abe out because the officials were supposed to come from neutral locations for the Super Six fights ('neutral' means from the US when you're fighting an American in America by the way :patsch).

    And Chad Dawson's team didn't want Ward to have another home state ref for their boy's fight against him. Ward still had 2 Californian judges in tow in addition to hometown advantage though. :lol:

    Why do you think he gets away with all that illegal holding that has long been such a staple of his style and all the other illegal stuff he does like ducking below waist level, elbowing etc.?

    Handy with his head, that bloke ... just like Vander was.

    It happens (or happened) far to often for it to be completely accidental. :think

    Perhaps when Ward has his next fight, they should put a glove on his head, just in case.

    I can't wait until this fight is announced!

    Kovalev does have a good solid jab. He uses it well to setup combinations once he gets his opponent on the ropes.

    Kovalev won't win the battle of the jab with Ward though. Ward is probably at least twice as fast as Kovalev in handspeed. I see Ward countering over Kovalev's jab.
    This is the fight everyone wants to see.

    Ward whipped Kessler's ****** ass with ease, and with one arm.

    Ya'll should have never elevated Kessler beyond his true ability just to hype Calzaghe and his weak Golovkin like resume. Ward showed Kessler is at the Abraham level. :lol:

    There is no one in the MW/SMW/LHW divisions who can out jab Ward.
    The Ward Jab.

    Too fast. Too accurate. Too powerful.

    With jabs timing is everything, IMO Ward is quick, but not all that fast, it's just that his timing is immaculate and he reads opponents very well.

    And yeah, mouthwatering fight - Ward's not faced anything like Kovalev either, and Kovalevs a better boxer than either Froch or Kessler even without his power. Should be an enthralling match up.:bbb

    what on earth is that featherfisted jab supposed to do to a monster like Kovalev or Beterbiev? beat them by laughter?

    oh yeah thats rat, ward has no intention of fighting either so point is mute
