Are you actually so idiotic to cite amateur experience in an argument about the experiences of Ward's professional career? That's pretty ****ing weak.
I was just shaking my head at the above comments and decided it wasn't worth my time to answer. So I'll give you a :thumbsup
All I'm saying my bro is he looked good cuz he was fighting a no-hoper. Until they prove otherwise I'll maintain my postition that Ward, Dirrel, and Abraham are in way over their heads.
Ward an d Dirrell maybe altough I think they will lose they ain't over they're heads. Abraham definetely not.
Are you so ****ing idiotic to discredit any amateur experience whatsoever? Especially when pertaining to the type of guys and styles one has faced? That's pretty ****ing stupid!
:good Yeah, I'm not sold on the cat and ain't jumpin' on the Ward wagon by no means, I just thought he had hella' fast hands.:yep Landing 4-5 punches in under a second, IMO, is pretty ****in' fast..lol.
Have some respect, you moron. Ward is a great fighter. Just because he happens to meet Kessler in the next fight doesn't mean that you have to turn kindergarden on him. If you think Kessler will win, argue why or just say it, but save the stupidities.
I hope you are not saying Wards potential matchup with Froch, Kess and AA and how "soft" they are? If anything Ward is MUCH "softer" then the ANY of the Euro's he might face. :huh
Very true. AA and Froch are both very hard men. Kessler, well, he's obviously tough, but if it came down to rating a guy on shear guts and toughness, I think I'd rate him 3rd out of the 3. That's a bit ironic because I think over 12 rounds he's beat the **** out of the other 2.
I see some logic in some of your points but I think its a bit of a stretch. this is what I saw... -Kessler was outboxed by Perdomo for the first 2 rounds -Ward is a much faster boxer with more skill than Perdomo so its likely he will outbox Kessler for more than 6 rounds. -Ward may not have 1 punch pop but he has power to stop a fighter in his tracks. -Who gives a **** whether it took 1 or 3 rounds to KO fighter? He got him out quick. Paul Williams KO Quintana in 1...Cotto KO Quintana in 5. Does Paull Williams hit that much harder? Quintana UD Paul Williams...Did Paul William get that much stronger between the first and second fight? Think about it. I could go on for days but it's pointless... Ward win by UD or late KO. However I would not be surprised by Kessler win by KO. I thinks its Kesslers only shot at wining and its like 20-30% chance the way I see it.
Forgive me if some of this has already been said...but I just got to see the fights about 10 mins ago (thank you youtube!!!)... First, what the people failing to realize when they say that both of these guys were fighting bums was...that is what they were SUPPOSED to be fighting. These were title fights, yes...but that was not the important thing to look at. Plain and simple, these were two mandatory warm up fights. You cant expect to see the best from each guy, because, well, they werent fighting two men who could bring the best out of them. Yes, Perdoma looked good early, and Pudwill was able to get in a few nice right hands...but both were outclassed quickly afterwards. Since this post is about how Ward looked, Ill post my thoughts on him only... 1- Him fighting the entire fight in a righthanded stance was brilliant, not only to give him practice in doing so...but to showcase just how WELL he can do it gives Kessler and his team one more thing to plan and strategize for. The way he is able to switch on a dime and maintain his footing and balance is amazing. There arent many fighters out there that can do it better. VERY IMPRESSIVE. 2- His handspeed and timing seemed very good. Better than against Miranda, who actually has much worse defense than Pudwill. 3- That left hook is a dangerous weapon. He threw it from every angle, with power and sickening accuracy. Half the time it came out of nowhere...meaning he doesnt have to be set to throw it well. 4- When he saw Pudwill was hurt, he immediately went for the kill...and when he did, he didnt just head hunt or throw recklessly, he threw beautiful combinations and didnt forget about the body. He went in and stopped him intelligently and impressively (I dont give a **** about what Duddy did to Pudwill, last time I checked, Duddy is a power puncher, Andre is not...dumbest thing Ive read in a while comparing the two). 5- Andre goes to the body with conviction. Definitely a huge area of improvement here...and coincidently, something that Calzaghe was able to do to Kessler with success in there fight. With the experience in Ward's corner, this isnt a coincidence. Anyway, Ill save my views of Kessler for a post about him...but needless to say, both men looked great against fighters who are not. Much like we expected. BUT, that doesnt mean we cant give them credit for it.
Very possible and likely Boo, nothing is a given, especially with Arthur, Froch has already, "somewhat" proven himself at SMW, I am so excited, BUT, at the same time nervous about AA. He either gets outclassed, or looks superb, nothing in the middle.
