Andre Ward on Kovalev acting like he lost

3,5,7,8,9,11 & 12 were the rounds I gave ward as well. but I admit round 12 could have went to Kovalev to make it 114-113 for him. It's funny because a vast majoirty of social media, sky sports, and box nation had Ward winning. Sky sports did bring up that they had Kovalev winning saying "what on earth are they watching"

round 10 was kind of controversial. Ward starts off with a huge flurry that went ignored on the hbo broadcast.. I didn't think it was a clear ward round until Kovalev landed a solid shot to ward's ear which was his best punch of the fight, if he would have landed that in round 2 he likely would have won.
also since im quoting I disagree with round 1 being 10-10 I felt it had it's moments but Kovalev landed nice stiff jabs to offset rhythm

1,2,4,6,10 were Kovalev rounds for me. if your the kind of person that feels one massive shot cant change a round.. that's the only argument I can see for round 10.

the only round I can see an argument for is round 12. I guess round 3 too because you felt ward was hurt. but if you watch round 3 on it's own forgetting what happened you'd have to give the round to ward.

I really can't see the fight wider than 114-113 either way. I'm seeing people here score it something hilariously absurd like 116-111. I think if you bent over backwards you could say 115-112 Kovalev. that would be aruging kova won round 12 and round 3 but I think round 3 is a huge huge stretch.

 

I think we can all agree that Kovalev gave at LEAST 4 rounds of the last 6 away. unless you are a poster that had it 3-3 and cry robbery.

 

Ward needs to fight Kovalev again because he won the fight by getting gifted decisions. So simple as that.

 

triple Post: Ward needs to give a rematch in this match I felt both showed that they arent as good as I thought. ward took forever to adjust. Kovalev faded really badly. and it seemed like he didnt try. give 5 of the last 6 rounds away.. yet people call it a robbery.

However, I agree that the fight was close.

 

None of that is trying everything he can to avoid a rematch.. Actually retiring or saying there will definitely not be a rematch under any circumstances will do the trick.. This is just him talking or maybe his attempt at mind games...

no you said it was a gift if you had it in the range it was a gift that means you likely gave Kovalev rounds he clearly didn't win. I want to laugh let me guess. round 9 to kovalev because hbo said so?

 

Same. I can't see it any different. I don't understand the robbery claims.

 

I scored round 1 to Kovalev on this third scoring, he won rounds 1,2,4,6 & 10 on my card, it was the first and second time I scored the fight that I had the first even. From the 3rd round on Kovalev seemed happy to prove Ward couldn't muscle him around, and he completely stopped cutting the ring off simply following Andre around the rest of the fight.

 

Anyone scoring the fight for Ward is bias.
