You have to be some sort of re**** to think Sanchez would purposefully sabotage a big, potentially break out fight for one of his fighters to make the other one look better..
Ward is definitely part of the "entightlement" generation. His attitude is that he's so great at fighting he doesn't even have to fight. What a bum.
Café....they never wanted to put his superstar fighter in the ring with ward.....so what makes you think theyd wanna put a lesser fighter in with him? because hes bigger? loeffler straight up told ward "it wasn't me...it was sanchez"....when ward was upset about the lies coming from gggs camp im not saying barrera and co. are sabotaging to make ggg better..im just saying...the minute ward doesn't pay barrera more than he thinks hes worth sanchez starts running his mouth again..... a lot of clowns still talking about "ward has 3 fights in 5 years" blah blah.....end of the day wards resume still better and hes younger....and he hasn't done anything in 5 years! that should tell you something
@pimp c check the article on the front page with sanchez I actually agree with the author....barrera is a good fight for ward...but ward still has some rust....and smith was more of an exhibition......periban would be good...then barrera...then kova.......that's a decent way to go imo
OK but they're not going to purposefully request more than they're worth with intentions for Ward to pull out and make him look bad, the GGG and Barrera situations are apples and oranges.
wouldn't be the first time a fighter has asked for more than what the a-side fighter wants to pay/thinks opponent is worth in hopes of milking some extra money...so lets not rule it out.....I wouldn't say the intention is to make ward look bad......but sanchez will give it a shot if he can
Yeah, but they're not going into it like... "You know what, we're going to ask for an unreasonable sum in hopes that Ward will decline so that Ward looks worse/GGG better" that's my point. All other **** is just part of the negotation process in any fight.
I don't even see why Barrera would duck Ward for, Ward has been on a break, he's stepping up in weight class and Barrera needs a break out fight, being Cuban that's not going to come easy and this is a good a chance as any. It'd make no sense for them to ask for anything unreasonable, he's probably getting lowballed by Ward.
Ward is a disgrace. He is too greedy to pay fair money to a decent fighter like Barrera which is why names like Murdoch or Brand come up. Even Periban refused to participate in Ward's circus.
Ward's a killer. All Barrera wants is an extra $50K. Which can easily come out of Ward's purse. Ward was generous and gave a ton of money back to Smith for weighing in at 176. But now him and his new billionaire stepfather cant figure out another $50K? This is a shame.
And people still don't understand why Haymon had no interest in signing Ward for the new PBC empire. He just isn't worth the trouble.
