Call out the guy hes already beaten?

Shouldnt it be the other way around, if Froch is so keen on avenging his loss?

Are we just going to ignore that his own promoter has said that he has no interest in having Froch fighting Ward?

Besides if Ward did call froch out, Im sure Froch will just ignore and keep walking.
Like I said Froch is a business man, not some drunk guy outside a pub who'll fight someone because they're challenged.

You're the only one that brought quillin's name into the discussion.
Ward has made it clear he has no problem fighting Froch in England.

you're ignoring the fact that froch brings the money and the profile. regardless of what happened 3 years ago froch doesn't really need ward but ward's quickest route to big money and ppv status is beating froch in england. and froch doesn't really want or need any fight, but i reckon he'd struggle to refuse the chance to be divisional #1 at the city ground.

The sole reason GGG was on the network as frequently as he was is that he delivered great ratings at a bargain price and was willing to give a generous split to his opponents. His deal was just recently renegotiated for the Rubio fight (he still makes less than 7 figures a fight from HBO, not counting what he makes from co-promoting).

The problem arises from this: GGG's not going to take significantly shorter money vs Ward, which is what he'd need to do in order for that fight to take place on the regular network. He'd want 50/50-ish terms, and unless Andre takes a paycut, it'd cost the network at least $4 million to make that happen. They could have multiple million view fights for the same money instead of one 1.5 million view fight.

It's in the no-man's land of being too expensive for regular but the fighters are too unproven as PPV commodities. Ultimately, PPV is what HBO wants for the fight because they'd make more money that way...IF it pans out.

You want the fight done? GGG or Andre's going to have to B-side for Canelo, Cotto, or Chavez. Without it, the next best hope is Roc Nation writing an inflated check to fund the difference of what the fighters want and what HBO will pay, which actually isn't entirely out of the question.

I'm not saying I love the scenario, or that it wouldn't be awesome to have that fight on regular HBO, but it is what it is.

Ward doesn't need Froch any more than Froch needs him.

If beating Froch the first time didn't make Ward a PPV star I don't see why beating him again would.

Also, I dont see what beating Froch again would do that beating Golovkin or Kovalev wouldnt do.

no, because like it or not, froch is on the verge of retirement, brings the money and profile, is valuable to ward and doesn't need ward. thanks to ward's inactivity, which you're determined to ignore but along with his last comeback opponent is much more pertinant than fast car's comments, it's now or never.

i get it, you reckon froch won't respond wheras i do, but you pretend he's a ducker while giving quillin every chance. has he signed yet?

I want ward to spank Froch again and then Golovkin if ever stops being a mangina and then move up to fight at light heavy.

When did I call Froch a "ducker". His team made a business decision that it isn't worth fighting Ward.
If you want to finagle "ducking" into that decision, thats on you.

Too low reward/too high risk and also it could possibly be his last fight.

My guess is Froch retires in the ring after the Chavez fight, so its not going to matter whether hes called out or not.

He said if he didnt get the Chavez fight he was retiring if he didnt get the Chavez fight, which also shows that avenging his loss isnt that high on his list.

GGG/Kovalev bring money and prestige for Ward too

As far as popularity goes they both equal. I say split everything down the middle and get the fight done.

because froch built on his s6 success (can we call 2nd place success?) and is now the draw in the division. times change, bub. after a tuneup, who's the best fight for ward at 168 if not froch?

both great fights but both different divisions, froch in england at 168 also brings the money.

Froch said on British tv last night that he would be out pointed by Ward in a rematch and will never fight him again.

Its not ever going to happen.

"froch wants no part of ward" is not crediting someone with business acumen!

froch brings more money and at 168 more prestige than ggg. ward won't go to 175 straight off if he doesn't have to.

i know froch plans to retire, i just reckon he'd struggle to refuse the carrot of ward at the city ground.

stop being so precious and back your man. he was really good, hopefully can get back to it and this is his quickest route to the money and profile he craves. christ, boxing fans arguing against great matchups!
