Andre Ward vs. Artur Beterbiev, who you got?

Poll is close. I voted for Beterbiev KO. Here's my reasoning:

I feel that Beterbiev is a terrible matchup for Ward. When facing a bigger puncher, Ward often relies on being stronger than his opponent and out-muscling them in clinches / holds. Beterbiev, imo, is too big and strong for Ward to do that to, and I'm not sure Ward has the power to keep Beterbiev off for 12 rounds. Somewhere along the way, probably late, I see Ward getting hit hard and KO'ed.

Ward is too polished a boxer to get hit cleanly by Beter, who, I'll admit, does hit very very hard.

Beterbiev isn't all the way back from the injury. I'd favor Ward now.

Pre-injury form, it would be a close call.

I don't even like Ward but he would beat Beterbiev's azz....Why is this poll even close? Who has the caveman fought anyway? Ward would outbox him from the outside or clinch him up close, headbutt him, turn him, rough him up and land his own shots.

 

Really? I'm certainly not....I think most humans suffer from some form of cognitive biased. Understanding the level of severity can be difficult to disnighuish depending on how well they interact with others in the sand box, at the very core of this sort of match up comes a clash in styles but it doesn't stop there there's a clash in cultures, appearance, ideals etc all traits that fans connect with in some way they create a line of comfort with a particular fighter that fits them emotional and physically and there you have it you've created anchoring biased that leads to misinformation in what truly determines the advantages of a fighter in a hypothetical match up. The level of generalizations, sterotypes lack of cultural tolerance in this site is sickening. Arthur is a strong guy who looks extremely durable and his dimension can certainly overcome the superior boxing brain Ward possesses and vice versa but you likely won't see anyone really breakdown this fight with true objectivity it just doesn't exist not on this site or any for that matter....it's the fickle group like minded effect that's bringing down human society.

 

Andre Ward against a bigger, stronger, very technical fighter who he cannot bully. Good luck with that one Andre.

 

A prime Cloud got severely outboxed by a 97 year old Bernard Hopkins. Cloud is a manufactured Don King Champion, he won a vacant belt beating a 50 year old Clinton Woods, nobody really rated him. If Hopkins didn't end his mediocre career, Stevenson sure as hell finished it.

Beter is a caveman, I'm 100% confident Ward beats him. Beter only poses a punchers chance, but so did Froch, Abraham and Kessler. Ward feasts on these type of fighters.
