    This.

Ward looks good against statues that don''t punch and are c level anyway, plus he is on steroids and why didn't that ref stop the clinching, punching on the break, rabbit punching and headbutting?

Wards a dirty cheat, tarvers worse for comparing him to RJJ then saying except ''wards doing it against better opposition'':patsch:dead:dead:dead:dead:dead:dead

At this point, Calzaghe can't win because he's too old, too drugged and too retired.

At his prime, Calzaghe wins, because he's crafty and can adjust pretty well, he's got the handspeed, he has good reflexes, he can fight in and out, box and brawl, and he's got well... just about everything, except for jarring power.

Hopkins gave Calzaghe trouble when he was either too close to Calzaghe, or out of Calzaghe's range.

The way Ward boxed against green today he was either too close and clinching, or out of Greens range.

Also Ward seems to have good physical conditioning, he is able to out muscle Kessler and Green pretty easily.

And Ward does good dirty fighting, elbows, clinch, use of head.

Dont see it as an easy fight for either fighter.

But both Calzaghe and Ward are hometown warriors.

    Ward UD Calzaghe

I'm not sure about H2H, but if Ward wins the super six he'll most definately surpass Calzaghe as the greatest ever SMW in terms of resume.

And how do you come to the conclusion that his physical prime is clearly gone?

This comment thoroughly shows you have no clue as to what you are talking about. Calz was know for fighting down or up to his competition.

Kessler was the same as he is now. a robotic 1-2 fighter who has no defense against hte jab and no head movement. Sorry, Ward isnt Mundine and Andrade. Ward was an olympic Gold medalist, and he exposed the gulf in class between a decent fighter and a very good fighter.

    Most figured he lost?

He schooled reid with a broken hand, not one person had it as a loss :dead:dead:dead

Even if that bull**** was true, all it would show is the mark of a flawed fighter.

Hell we know from Warrens own lips that in Calzaghes "prime" he was a very scared unconfident fighter and nearly pulled out of the Lacy fight because of it.

The exact opposite of a champion like Ward.
