Missus Gee was of the opinion that Joe had pretty decent volume.

Easy, of course, is a relative term. In this sense it is meant Calzaghe would not be pressed hard. Consider his skill level to be that far above Ward.

It would be an extremely ugly fight. Calzaghe wins on workrate/stamina.

Just think, Calzaghe went life and death with Kessler, but Ward beat him soundly with one arm.

:blood Kessler won 2 maybe 3 rounds tops. And that was without Joe using every dirty trick known to man to beat Kessler with.

Ward tries his best and makes the fight a bit of a stinker... But Calzaghe overcomes and wins a decision that the Ward fan boys cry about for years.

I think Calzaghe but I can see either winning and if they had a 3 fight series I think both would take a win, small margins between them.

Speed is pretty even, Ward has the better jab. Calzaghe has a rhythm where as Ward doesn't like to fight with one and tries to mix it up all the time. I think it comes down to Calzaghe's work rate (combined with skill!! otherwise useless) versus Ward being able to dictate it with his jab and rhythm breaking movements.

Calzaghe was actually good on the inside and Ward wouldn't bully him strength wise at all. Look at their fights with Bika and Joe looked the stronger guy out of the two if anything.

If Calzaghe went life and death with Kessler and then Ward beats Kessler easily with one arm just think what a two armed Ward would do to Calzaghe.
Ward beats Calzaghe like he was Paul Smith.
