    Doesn't John Ruiz still fight?

I think so too. Jones and Toney had enough power to make Ruiz respect them, Ward doesn't. Even a limited heavyweight titlist like Ruiz would walk through Ward.

He hung it up (thank god, he was horrible to watch) after getting KOd by Haye.

Ward is clearly a better fighter than Ruiz, but I don't think Ward is talented enough to overcome the size difference.

    In a nutshell, this^

Or, we could also say, maybe Ward has the talent but his physical attributes such as power and speed and also his style especially, are all wrong for fighting Huggy Bear.

What is this childish gibberish by some of these posters. ****ing re****s.Anyways looking how easily RJJ and Toney countered Ruiz I'd take Ward easily. Find some gifs of Toney/Ruiz, Toney made him look really silly with beautiful fast counters. Without the punch and hold tactics, Ruiz has no chance.

Exactly. Some either don't know, or are conveniently overlooking, the fact that Ruiz had all the boxing ability of a high-grade clubfighter, and only his connections to King - which allowed him to get away with his illegal holding tactics in virtually every fight against decent comp, and his low-blow fakery against some like Thunder, Holyfield and Johnson - enabled him to "win" fights at the world class level.

Forced to fight WITHIN the rules against decent fighters., Ruiz lost every time.

Ward is nothing like Toney. Toney wasn't afraid of anyone and is damn near indestructible. Dude fought in the UFC even. Toney is also one of the most naturally talented fighters in the history of the sport and he has a WORLD CLASS chin.

Ward's style isn't anything like Toney's. Ward is also smaller than both of these guys.
