:nono There are a lot of Mayweather fanboys out there who's hero instructs them what to think. Somebody bumped a thread from about 6 years ago a while back saying who will be P4P number 1 in the future- and the most common answer was Devon Alexander (because Mayweather had also claimed it would be him)

If you bump one from 3 years ago the most common answer will be Adrian Broner. :)rofl:rofl:rofl)

If you did one now a common answer would be whoever Mayweather said last. Maybe Errol Spence, Ashley Theophane or Mickey Bey

I can tell you who's not #1 Kell Brook or any of your other UK fighters you suck off to.:rofl Tell Kell to fight someone of note his resume is as bad as GGG's and that's saying something.

Ward said the winner of super6 must fight Bute after the tournament then he change his speach after he won, a clear duck. he was expecting to lose to Froch and didn't realise Froch would be to tired from all that travelling in super6. This is why he never wanted to go to England, he knew Bute got away easy. Froch>Bute>Ward.

I've been on these forums since 2002. Trust me. The praise that was bestowed on Bute was ridiculous. Undoubtedly one of the most overrated "talents" these great forums have ever witnessed.

Factually incorrect. Ward was saying Bute should have to prove himself long before that, stating something to the effect that while the participants of the Super 6 were consistently facing high caliber opposition, Bute was coasting against no-hopers looking for an easy shot at the winner without having to go through a barrage of talented fighters. He was saying this at least before the Finals, and I believe he was saying this before the semi-finals when asked on it.

He was he was seen as the second coming by some on here despite going life and death with Andrade. People who weren't here back then just don't remember all the Bute>* threads we had here.:yep

Brook and GGG fight the best fighters willing to fight them in their divsion. Mayweather can pick and choose who he fights. And he fights Berto.

You'd know that boxing was a business, if you got yourself a job and found out how business works. Unfortunatley the real world is not like World of Warcraft where you spend 95% of your existence. :hi::hi:

He cannot possibly have been more overrated than journeyman Broner

Tell that **** to someone who doesn't know better because I do. :dealYou probably weren't even watching boxing back then. While Ward was in the Super 6 taking on the best the division had to offer Bute was on the sidelines fighting no hopers begging to be noticed. Ward told Bute to prove himself and Bute failed miserably Ward didn't owe Bute anything.

And I remember people calling me nuts when I was telling everyone that Froch was considerably more talented than Bute.

Bute seems like a nice guy, and he has nothing to be ashamed of. But he was never as talented as his legion of fans around here used to claim.

Berto would be arguably the best fighter Brook ever fought, that's how deep PBF's resume is when compared to a guy like Brook. :deal Look I think Brook is skilled just like I think GGG is but his resume sucks and if I was a fan of his I'd be ****ed at the way his career has gone.

This is confirmed. Bute did everything he could to force this fight but Ward went quite.

Ducking Dirrell was also something Ward did at SMW. Ward has good wins but nothing above and beyond like some would lead you to believe.

Kessler - good win already exposed by Joe C. Ward needed to cheat his way through this fight

Froch - already and clearly outboxed 2x over in the S6.

Abraham - no significant wins at SMW leading into this tourney. He did not win a single fight.

Allan Green...nothing to even speak on here.

Dawson- drained and clearly on the slide. KO'd by Stevenson with the first punch that landed. Lost to Karpency also. This would be a better win if Dawson didn't decline so rapidly.

So all in all.. a couple of decent wins. Not HOF worthy and definitely not in any ATG discussion.

you do realise that one of those "best of the division" Ward fought was a guy Bute schooled years before right? And the fact that Bute beaten the **** out of another "best of the division" who was in super6 semifinal right?
