As it happens, that IS actually a pretty apt nickname for Ward (and not for the stupid reason posited by the OP). In the Sun Tzu sense, he is an all-terrain fighter. He can box from outside or rough you up inside. No real dip in effectiveness whether he's moving forward, backward, or laterally. Wherever you're most comfortable, he ain't uncomfortable. Wherever you'd rather not be, well he can take it there and thrive too. Ten million times better than "SOG". He should have never stopped using it.
