If you like his style of fighting then good for you....I think his infighting is just clinching and trying to sneak a punch off the clinch , something most "idiotic pathetic fans" don't care to see...
Indeed they don't, which is why they can complain and further prove themselves as idiots. Fighting from the outside would've been an automatic loss to Ward, adapting was his only option. Just try to remember if you mind can fathom, not all fighters have the option to adapt and do so successfully.
Fair comment and I did not say he was without skill as that's not in question infact like I said it absolutely worked as Kovalev stopped having the same kind of success as he was,I'm not sure that it was because he tired either just as Froch says Ward somehow nullifies power where his opponents just get off glancing blows and the like. I don't disagree with you in that it's my problem if I don't understand it,I maybe should have added that I understand but just don't like it as a spectacle as I believe he's good enough to not have to do that,it's not as if he's doing as he's slowed down by half a step either as he's always done it?
True inside fighting is what happened in Corrales vs Castillo. Ward is a mauler, too much dirty stuff going on.
He wasn't good enough to carry on putting a show/spectacle as he tried in the first 2 rounds and it was because Kovalev was simply better than allowing him to do so. He was caught, dropped and clearly badly hurt. Even in the first round where he was stunned from a job you could tell that he needs to adapt but he still carried on till he was dropped. He had to adapt after the knockdown or he would've been knocked out.
Ward's inside game was grabbing Kovalev's leg, holding, wrestling, nothing else..................Kovalev won the fight and it wasn't even close.........
LOL I was just about to post something to that effect. He has obviously confused Lewis with Bowe. BTW Riddick was a good inside fighter.
