Damn, so this is the very bottom of the card...are they really going to have nine matches before the main event? Starting now, at 10:05 local time in Gorky??

 

Bahahahahaha, Canal 6 just DGAF these local Russian HW prospects. They cut away from them less than a minute into the first round, showed the studio pundits for a moment, and now they're rolling footage of yet another classic Mayorga bout.

 

There's something on Telemundo, but I forget whom it features.

 

I keep getting distracted by other stuff, browsing other tabs, and turning my attention onto the stream again, panicking briefly when I see Mayorga in the ring and then realizing what's onscreen isn't actually live.

 

Oh wow, throwback all the way to when Mayorga fought the shot to bits fat version of El Feroz.

 

This might well be on some kind of Russian television as well if anybody really cares about the non-Mayorga bouts on the card, but I can only vouch for the usability & legality of the stream in the OP.

 

I guess the Cuban lost. They are showing a split-screen on Canal 6 now, with Mayorga slugging with Vargas in a decade-old 16:9 time capsule on the right and Abakarov celebrating with his team in ring center in real time on the left.

 

Has anybody seen "The Russian Bull"? How good is he? Is he going to outbox Loco Ricardo or get mauled?

About five minutes in you can see a really chintzy bogus knockdown scored in Sirotkin's favor. His fist got lodged in his opponent's throat and he dragged him in while falling into the ropes himself with his own unbalanced momentum. The opponent, who entered 3-3, survived to lose a 10-round UD to Sirotkin (and not a shutout, either) without further incident.

So yeah, he isn't great.

Okay, wait - so this is the co-feature. How do they jump from the show opener to penultimate bout of the evening like that? What about the seven additional matches in between? Did they all take place earlier, before the endless dance party? I'm so confused.

Anyway, bottom line is Mayorga vs. Sirotkin might be on sooner than we thought. Which is a relief.

 

Not sure if that happened. They haven't shown any live boxing since I tuned in except about thirty seconds of Abakarov vs. Guerrero and now this Cruiser bout.
