The the frustrating thing, it's just total lack of ambition from Wilder and his team. They could make alot more money even at a 50/50 split against Parker. Then if he won, which he'd be favored to do, he'd be in commanding position for a 50/50 megamoney megafight against Wlad or Joshua. His net financial gain would be many millions of dollars, for not a tremendously riskier strategy. Not to mention the greater respect he'd get among fans for facing the best.
Agree totally. He's be favoured against Takam, Parker, Whyte, Pulev, Stiverne II so it's not asking too much for him to fight them.
I don't think that could be drawn any comparison between Klitschko's and Wilder's opponents. In fact, such comparison would be very disrespectful to Wlad. Also, let's not forget that many times Klitschko had to face some of those guys because they were mandatories (such as Austin, Rahman, Leapai etc). I don't think that there is hatred when people express disappointment in Wilder's selection of opponents, especially considering that those guys are not even mandaroties (in fact, he didn't fight any mandatory so far in nearly 2 years). Apparently he was in negotiations with Hughie Fury and Parker called him out for an unification as well, and yet he selects Wawrzyk. It's just not a good look and it's certainly not a way to build a name for himself.
Wawrzyk is utterly useless. This win will rank behind shot Liakhovich on Wilder's résumé, and with quite some separation.
