Nah, He fought the only way he can, upright, stiff and predictable.

 

i watched that fight yesterday on youtube, Graig couldnt seem to find his rythmn or connect with the punches, yet Quillin seemed to slow down, the stoppage seemed a bit premature

 

Yeah, he didn't fight well at all. Part of the game plan was to lean on Quillin are tire him out before attacking in the later rounds, questionable in my uneducated opinion. I know pro boxing is very diff to the ams but always confused me why Craig has such a toe-to-toe style when he was so elusive before going pro, or least he was the few times I seen him.

What you think he should do? Stay in America and work his way up but realistically be seen as a gatekeeper for the up and comers or fight in Britain for much less money but with a greater chance of winning titles etc?

 

Maybe the latter for now, strange That Andy Lee`s style is like a shadow of Craigs amatuer style

I think Lee is going to pull it off.

Chavez looked like a AIDS victim. Saw pictures of him in his hotel room eating and he looked ****ing awful

 

His stamina is poor imo.

 

And still won the fight you clown.

Resorting to name calling because I gave my opinions on how Lee fights, it's quite obvious to see, did I touch a nerve...bless.

 

I think Lee is certainly capable of beating Chavez, but he's well and truly up against it.

Chavez will probably come in close to 180, which will give him a strength advantage for about six rounds after he's warmed up....

Lee's problem is that he's a bit robotic, I'd like him to basically copy Macklin's tactics from the Sturm fight and to try and blow him away.

Lee ain't getting a close decision, and if he's remotely troubled the referee will some in with a ''merciful'' stoppage in Chavez's favour.

All things being equal it's close to a 50-50 fight. But things aren't equal.

If Chavez moves up to 168 he'd get ****ed at the top level. He's not going to be able to sell tickets and make big money fighting bus drivers, all the top fighters are battle hardened and have faced most of the best opponents available.

Perhaps they're banking on Froch, Kessler, Ward and Bute all moving up to 175 - which is possible. Failing that, Chavez is going to be put to sleep at some stage.

 

I called you a clown because Lee does fight upright at times, but he is a very skilled boxer and has a lot more to him then just fighting stiff and upright, we will see tonight I have confidence that if Andy boxes to his ability he wins this .

 

i'v always said chavez was a fraud and a paper champion. Lee destroys him and does it easily, chavezs mexican chump father will be on the ring apron pulling lee away from the savage onslaught to his **** offspring.

 

Unless Lee lays Chavez out, he's not winning this.

 

I'm rooting for Lee to win and he can do it but he'll likely need to get him out there early

 

Lee boxes stiff and upright all the time, it's just the way he fights, like you say..he is skilled, and that's what has got him into contender status in the division.

He has the ability to out box Chavez, but can his stamina hold up? I don't think so, he's never really showed improvement in his conditioning over the years.
