Hopefully Lee knocks him cold. If Lee wins, he will continue to make good fights. If Quillin somehow wins, that WBO belt will never again be in with a live body.
Maybe they will, maybe they wont. All investments have risk. I work in investments. You bet on some and you lose, sometimes you win. They're all big boys. They know the score. Also Showtime didnt "invest" in Haymon. He got his fighters on their channel. They made money off him and he made money off them. Thats how business works. Mutually beneficial interactions. Like I said, none of this makes any difference to my life. Im just going to enjoy the good cards that are being put on.
Actually I think they are very good cards. Ive no idea what the deal with NBC will be. If Sky will pick it up- or not. Ill find a way to see it either way.
Entertaining fight for sure, although it officially validates the duck of Korobov for PQ to fight the guy who beat him for the same belt he dropped.
i doubt he was, as nielsen didn't vacate only to be gifted an immediate title shot. gramesy has been pretty straightforward on his problem with this, i'm unsure why you're struggling to follow his argument.
Lee will be dominating in this fight. These NBC shows are way more appealing than what I figured would be dished up.
1) That wasnt in response to Gramsey 2) I dont follow why some guy on an internet forum should be "disappointed" in a professional fighter fighting a world class fighter for good money. Who gives a **** whether he dropped his title or not. It doesnt make any difference to the standard of the fight. 3) Do you still think Froch wants to fight Ward if only Ward would call him out? Are you still indignant that Froch repeated what i said word for word, after you getting all upset with me for saying it?
Hes still the same guy who dropped HNN 6 times and this is a MUCH better fight than the Nielsen one. How people can be upset about Lee fighting a better fighter for more money is beyond me.
If it wasnt for the knockdowns????? You make it sound like he slipped 6 times!! If mny auntie had nuts, she'd be my uncle. Thankfully those people dont get to make any real decisions, or we'd be watching Andy fight some Dane, no one cares about, for half the money. I want to see a BETTER fight, where the fighters make MORE money for themselves, and Im the one thats not a boxing fan? OK then. I want to see the best fights. PERIOD. I couldnt care less about all the sanctioning body, political nonsense
Thats hilarious. If he wasnt dropped SIX TIMES, he would have won. If Andy Lee hadnt KO'd Korborov and Jackson cold, he may well have lost too. It doesnt matter what COULD have happened!! In the end Quillin won the fight by a mile on the score cards. All that matters if what ACTUALLY happens in fights, not what would have happened in some make believe world. I care about what fighters make, in the sense that I want to see them make as much as possible. They put it on the line for the fans and I want to see them make as much as possible. I was referring to people like you complaining about guys turning down fights etc. If a guy turns down a fight because he thinks he can make more money some othertime, then thats on him. They're all grown men and can make their own decisions. As for the GGG fight, what network would it even be on? People talk about these fights like they're easy to make. GGG is a HBO fighter, and Quillin up until now has been showtime. They cant even come together to make the biggest fight ever, so I doubt they'll come together to make GGG-Quillin. I,of course, want to see the fight happen someday because its the best fight to be made at 160 right now. And I still have no idea why Quillin giving up his title last year has anything got to do with this fight. This fight is a quality fight between 2 guys in the top 10(maybe even top 5) of the division. Everything else is just noise. If you and others want to moan and whinge about Quillin getting a shot, then by all means do so. Like I said, Im thankful that people like you dont get to make decisions about these fights
