dude got KO'd at 160 when he should be fighting at 154. He has no business fighting MW's and was weight drained. Dude took bombs from Julio, so he obviously can take a punch.
Im confused.... he fought at 160 but should be fighting at 154 and at the same time was weight drained at 160 which is 6 pounds over his fighting weight. Weird.
Nobody that gets dropped by a jab delivered from a feather fisted Japanese dude with 7 KOs to his name should be mentioned as being able to take a punch.
I think Angulo wins... but this is a great fight for the fans... more fights like this will make boxing a better sport
Kirkland would get in afew licks because of his superior speed, but I think Angulo will handle it pretty well. Pre Cintron the slow starter version of Angulo might of been in trouble, but post Cintron he's been having earlier knockouts. He's also better technically than Kirkland when he switch hits he might make Kirkland abit confused. I forgot Angulo was with Beristein he's going to improve drastically. Wolfe is a hell of a conditioning coach, but showing Kirkland to stick and move or use a jab which he's not doing instead he's bull rushing all the time makes James technical game kinda weak. I knew James was going to get ko'd sooner or later and it happened. He can't fight that way with everyone, but if he continues that way at least he'll always be exciting to watch. He might be a Junior Jones, but even Jones knew how to box well.
Kirkland got KO'd by weight fluctuations in my view, if conditioning was the problem, he will cause Angulo massive problems.
