Wow. Angulo really wants to get moving in his career. It worries me though. Can you say Vargas? IT might be too soon. I think the kid has what 14 or 15 fights so far. I just hope he doesnt get damaged. His style alone makes him not have a long career but jumping in with dangerous guys like this is just gonna shorten it up even more. By the way this is a true fighter right here. I love Mexican fighters. Angulo by 11th round KO. Mayorga will take a hell of a beating from Angulo.
Two GREAT matchups. Mosley had trouble with Mayorga throughout their fight. heavy K.O aside (and some more stoppages) fighting Mayorga so early in your career shows balls and a clear will to succeed. If Angulo can take Mayorga's bombs and go on to beat him we will have announced his arrival on the Big Stage.
Good news...we must remember that Mayo was not losing to Mosley going into the 12th, Mayo is not completely finished yet.
Very nice card. This is a big step up for Angulo. Mayorga is over the hill but not shot. He has probably fought more championship rounds than Angulo has rounds. He looked solid against Mosley and has a good chance here. If Angulo's chin holds up I think his youth would play a big factor. In a war I'd take Angulo's age and freshness here and he might stop Mayorga late. Campbell-Funeko is an interesting bout. Funeko knocked out Raheem in his last fight. That is a good win and he will be awkward with that height. Campbell will have been inactive for a bit and isn't getting younger. I've never seen Funeko so I wouldn't know how this plays out but it is intriguing. Good card.
