I agree. I scored the fight 9-3 in favour of Nurse. It's not a good thing for Australian boxing. Less visiting fighters will be willing to come, fearing of unfair treatment.

 

You can't take subjectivity out of boxing but there really needs to be a better way to score boxing. We all know this. It is near impossible to score every single punch and factor in the impact, etc. If there is a way they can allow the viewing public to vote, like through the blockchain at some point, then maybe that will be the way to go. Using the blockchain, it will be impossible to falsify the votes. Or maybe even have dozens of sanctioned judges from around the world watching the bout and scoring it. Almost anything would be an improvement over what is currently in place. The sanctioning bodies and promoters have too much control over who decides. They will look back in the future and laugh at the fact that people like Adelaide Byrd actually decided the outcome of a bout with millions of dollars on the line. A total joke.

 

The Pac fight with Horn made me very angry, Uncle Bob had something to do with that decision as Pac beat the hell out of Horn who can't fight at all...................why did Bob cheat Pac? Who knows, Arum is a liar and cheat!

I express support for Australian fighters but I always score fights honestly as I see them.

I thought Nurse was a good choice of opponent for Brubaker.

Decent skills, but no power & not aggressive enough to win rounds in an Australian boxing ring.

Give Brubaker some credit for taking on a far more seasoned & accomplished opponent, applying pressure for the full 12, hurting the other guy a couple of times and getting the W.

He deserves more credit for his performance than he's been given.

 

Even if midniteprowler may be right for once about this being a bad decision it's not even in the ballpark for worst decisions and Australia isn't even close to being amongst the worst countries for hometown robberies.

This was a close fight but Brubaker done enough to win, he landed the heavier shots and won rounds without showboating,which I think was Nurses downfall, Brubaker made the fight with his constant pressure and ensured the win with a dominant last round. Casual fans who watch the fight whilst drinking copious amounts of alcohol are entitled to an opinion but should not be taken seriously.

Since when do on-the-way-down overseas fighters get the benefit of the doubt in close rounds against up-and-comers in a non-title fight? Since when did that start happening anywhere in the world?

It's not like Nurse brought a title down here with him to defend.
