If Dunne gets a few good wins at 126 I'm sure some of the champs would see him as a credible yet easy title defense. He has a lot of options open to him.

That's impossible to say until he shows what he can do at 126.

Dunne is a good boxer there is no doubt about it, he's also very soft centered and appears weak. I go back and forth on whether Dunne outboxes Munroe with his superior technique, or whether Munroe gets to him eventually.

 

I love the way that Dunne and Munroe gets people talking it's not a fight that will be on SBO but seems to get everyone talking on here. I think Dunne is the better boxer but he just seems to fold very very quickly. Munroe will not knockout Dunne with one shot as he throws arm punches. He would have to wear him down and stop him. I think it be a good hard fight with a fast pace. It's a real pick em but at this time i would lean slightly toward Munroe on aggression and also strength where as Dunne does look drained and ill come fight night.I normally go for skills but Dunne yes is more skillful but looks weak and vulnerable in each fight now and i agree a move to feather may be more better for him.

 

They should make this fight - I think it would be an intriguing match-up.

Dunne is an excellent boxer and I feel he would outbox Munroe. Munroe aint a bull like Poonsawat so I think Dunne would be strong enough to handle him. The question mark is if Dunne could hold Munroe off in the latter rounds - I think he can.

 

I'd be delighted if Dunne takes on this fight and wins back the European bel. Then I ask myself where does he go from there ? He hasnt got it at the highest level.

TFFP can I just say I think the term 'soft centered' is very harsh regarding Dunne. He's far from difficult to put down but he is incredibly game and willing to get back up and keep going. The first KD against Poonsawat would have finished many a SBW but he got up and was heavily dropped again and he still got up and went back for more. In fact when he was put down for the 3rd time and was totally ****ed he was still trying to scramble back to his feet and box on.

Soft centered suggests a lack of heart or guts. I think that is very unfair. He's not hard to put down but its not like he just rolls over (a la Hunter v Molitor) and gives up when he starts getting hurt

 

I didn't mean to infer he has no heart, he does. I just mean he's a bit feeble in terms of he's easily bullied inclose and lacks strength and can be hurt. He's great on the outside, but his soft centre is when anybody gets close to him, he's sort of like a football team that is great going forward but can be hustled and put out of their stride. Perhaps Dunne supports Arsenal

For those asking where would Dunne go after this if he were to beat Munroe, I think Steve Molitor has to be the answer. If Caballero moves up Molitor will be fighting for the vacant IBF title against a man he's already stopped before(Ndlovu).

If there's one World Class Super-Batamweight Dunne has a chance of beating it's Steve Molitor who has a lot of the same weaknesses ad strengths as Dunne. That would be a 50/50 fight for me and the only real way I could currently see Dunne recapturing a version of the 'World title'.
