Two of the Prizefighters have fought each other twice on Matchroom cards and two others once. Totally ****ing **** line-up.
Heard Mitchell's interview a few weeks ago. He sounds like a complete crackhead, he won't be boxing at any decent level for much longer. If he's borrowing money off Frank he'll be serving behind a McDonald's counter before long.
Why do people that dont enjoy Prizefighter put their time and effort into discussing it?! People act offended, as if they are forced to endure something horrific! I dont like Prizefighter either, so I wont watch, simple! Why say ANOTHER in caps? Like its so outrageous! Sky are contracted to 6 shows a year, this one is the 6th show, whats outrageous about that?
I am offended because 3-round fights and fighting them three times in one night is not pro boxing. It's amateur. Give them headgears and let them go at it, or call it an exhibition ... but DO NOT act like these are real pro fights that should count on a boxer's record.
If you don't like it then don't watch it. It's not causing any harm. And I actually think its a decent line up. Shrink win beat Taylor in last fight. And Connery has beaten Evangelou twice now. So some needle in it too.
of course its causing harm, its using up the (precious as theres a lot fewer) Sky dates rather than us getting a proper bill topped by a proper 12 round championship fight.
It's not like Eddie doesn't have fighters anymore, I'd rather see a Brian Rose domestic dust up with all his prospects on the undercard.
wow another lets moan about prizefighter thread, when are you purists going to realise you are not the only people who like boxing and the mainstream / armchair fan actually enjoys it , the pathetic people who scream it affects me because its taking up a precious date on sky care to remenber that those proper nights were usually littered with crap like ian feather fisted napa dancing around for 12 rounds or a british prospect v a polish roofer and thats not entertaining either to the majority so if you dont like prizefighter DONT WATCH IT BUT STOP ****ING MOANING.
Think I'm in the 5% who actually quite likes it! It's fun to have a punt on and the extra wonga incentive for a K.O can make things interesting.
