UFC has to go to the drawing board after Lesnar's lost. The main attraction just took a beating. I wonder how much the new champ made?:D

More than Cain thats for sure. His UFC salary would have been at least $400K or more.

It's known that UFC fighters don't get paid what they deserve and that is why Dana has had problems with some of them. It's a shame when they claim high numbers for ratings, but then you have someone like Franklin only making $40,000 for the main event championship.

Thats why the UFC is worth what it is today. They dont share the spoils with the fighters. Dana and the Ferrita's cream off the cream and the fighters get to fight for the scraps.
Carwin didnt even make half of that for what was apparently the biggest fight in UFC history. Sad indictment if you ask me.

In the UFC the best fight the best.

Brocks a star but Dana puts him in with Cain who is risky. Even if he beat him, he had to face JDS next.

Shields is the new guy but Dana tries to upset the apple cart from day one.

Ortiz is another name but puts him in with a guy who can beat him.

Just good match ups all the time.

I disagree on your reasons on matchups, but I believe UFC and MMA in general are eating bigger portions of boxing's pie.

Boxing needs to target kids and balance looking for the quick BIG buck in older folks. Sure, 50 year olds have tons of cash, but that is NOT a sustainable demographic.

It's all about the marketing, honestly very few would know Brock's opponents. But yet they make them just like WWE, here is your persona. You have a wrestling background or this and that and your undefeated and here is your story.

The best fighting the best is all lies. These guys win one day and lose the next day. That's not being the best, you have to be dominant.

The only reason MMA is growing and making noise is because of the great marketing. They pay them cheap because you could grab anyone else easily and make them a star. You can't do that in boxing, you really need to master the skills, not a little here and there.

Kids are getting into MMA just because they actually have a chance of probably one day be a champion and be made into one. Boxing is very different, you have to be born it runs in your veins and your one of a kind.

I totally disagree. The guys we (the hardcore fans) rate are being matched up so quite clearly the best are fighting the best in our opinions.

In boxing you are fighting in one martial art and have to master that style. In MMA you have to be well rounded. As soon as you limit yourself to one martial art you have to be a master or get killed by the best. MMA tends to master one thing but be well rounded in everything else. The new generation like GSP are becoming masters in multiple arts.

You cant be the best when your constantly losing here and there and being a champ with less than 5 fights.

That is getting very old about boxing just being one art. It shows the knowledge of some. Boxing involves all types of movements from defense to simplest way of landing your shots with techniques that take years to perfect.

Most MMA guys are not very skill, not to disrespect with few exceptions such as Anderson Silva which has good skill. It's all marketing: this guy has all these backgrounds of this and that, but in reality they lack fundemental skills as how to use a jab or even punching with their heads coming foward. Lack of defense is very noticeable in these UFC fights. I personally attended UFC 118 and trust me there were more boos than cheers esp. when these guys go on the ground.

Whether you agree or not you have a much more possibilty 100 % of becoming a UFC champ than a boxing champ. And it's no surprise esp. kids like the easy way and fastest way. Boxing is not for all.

Yeah Eze most the threads made about Pay is a joke.

UFC fighters from what ive seen get paid **** all.

I mean Dana White sits back and earns all the ****ing Cash why some fighters on a Big UFC card are getting paid like $3000 for a fight.

Now Ive seen some Boxing matches were the fighters are getting paid just as low.

But White controls his biggest Stars earning which is were he makes his money.

Like Pac and PBF get Millions and millions why the biggest stars in the UFC would be lucky to get a Million.

Why Dana probably pocket 20 mill or so.

Dana actually only owns a very small percent of UFC. But it is known that these MMA guys dont get pay what they deserve. But then again like I have stated this sport anyone could quickly feel in your shoes in one night and take your place. That's why these guys have to take so much crap from Dana and force to fight in ways that are very street like just to pick up a bonus. Anderson box beautifully in one of his past fights and even use defense in artful way, could you believe Dana went nuts on the guy and said he was boring and disrespectful. Guess what his next fight Anderson is getting hit with all these blows. I wonder why?
