Stupid if you believe ppv is for the premium fights.

You say put them on a normal sky card and pay what they are worth? Again idiotic. They are worth millions purely because of how many tickets and ppvs they sell.

Very little correlation between boxing ability and ppv sales.

Yes, that's what I was saying.
Most casual fans are stupid/ignorant and do believe PPV are the premium or "best" fights. SKY absolutely markets most fights that way too.
For example : AJ v Charles Martin featured an intro with footage of Muhammad Ali against Foreman, and highlights of Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Mike Tyson etc. .... they sold the fight as an historic "world heavyweight championship", blatantly implying that the fight was for a title of that magnitude.

Strategic Marketing plays a huge part too. NO casual fan gave a **** about Tony Bellew, they barely knew him as a fighter. He's not exciting. But the publicity campaign is everything. The broadcasters and promoters and publicity men decided to get behind Bellew's big mouth, as with Haye, and build him and the fight up as a media event. That's the marketing decision, the priority. Bellew was available and connected to the right promoter.
This doesn't just happen by chance or word-of-mouth.
People don't just buy what they want, they buy want the advertising and marketing executives decide to bombard them with.

A few years ago, fighters were getting millions for non-PPV fights. It's a matter of budgeting.

But I don't care if it's PPV or not. Pro wrestling has PPV events. It's a joke fight. That's all.

    Next week.

    Wed: O2 priority
    Thu: Fightpass
    Fri: General sale.

Hope I can grab a pair at least but I'm doubtful.

They should have kept this under wraps and announced the fight in the ring on Saturdsy WWE style. In Liverpool would have been a good laugh.

Will Haye come in lighter for this? Adam Smith mentioned it in a IFL interview, so has Johnny Nelson. I’ll be impressed if he does.

No need, he should stay as he was. As long as he is fit it is an easy win for him, in whatever way he wants.

Check out his Twitter page he's uploaded a few pics from his time on Turkey, definitely looks lighter and in great condition already. He's going to knock Bellew's head clean off his shoulders.

Hope the press conference is on Monday, gonna be a barnstormer again. "Leave the boxer alone David!"

Hopefully as winner of this will face parker for Hw title,Haye v Parker is much more exciting than Bellew Parker, then the winner of parker will fight AJ.Again, rather see Haye v Aj than Parker AJ.I think sky and eddie are probably quietly hoping haye wins,he always gets good numbers on Box office and him v Aj can easily sell wembley and would make.a **** ton of money.

Haye needs to come in lighter but he said he was built for speed last time and he was no lighter.

A fit Haye beats Bellew but that's not saying much.
