I like him even more

What is this kid like? Big? Lean? Fast? Heavy-handed? How would he transition to the pros, anyone have an idea?

6"6, quick and powerful I'm told. From what I've seen he's a bit more aggressive than your amateur 'fencers'.

    Flea,
It's a mystery. I've been banging the drum about this kid for over two years - he talks well, he learns, he loses with dignity. Crazy.
He is the first British super-heavyweight to reach a semi-final at the World Championships - I think this is the 16th edition.
It's only his second major event - Cammarelle has won eight medals at the Worlds, Olympics and Europeans!

    Adios.

    Looks a beast!

FFS, turn him pro, refine him, he could make a genuine push. If he's in good nick and can beat Cammarelle, then there's no reason he can't do something in this day and age, surely?!?

Get him Manny Steward straight off the bat, journeyman types in the U.S, and 'big' domestic fights over here within 18 months or so. I mean, he doesn't look all that great there (admittedly I have no idea when it was or whether it's indicative of him as a fighter) but he obviously has natural attributes, and when I give the Cammarelle fight a watch in a bit but I imagine he's a damn good fighter as well.

Olympics next year I guess? Hope he does well and gets brought along fast, HW is wide open.

Yeah Flea, he's guaranteed a place at the Olympics after today's win.

Like you say, the talent is all there. Just needs a good trainer when he turns pro.

That vid's from Jan 2010 and he's improved loads since then. He's being working with the likes of McCraken and Woodhall at the GB set up this past year.

Totally forgot this and how Tyson had hyped him up at the time. Seems like he's right.
