AJ is a god damn bum and pretty much a slave for Eddie Hearn. I know he's sunk low and is officially bum status now but to even be scared of this shot to pieces Wilder is pathetic. He should be all over a Fury fight, especially this regressing Fury. What an opportunity....and what a payout...and he should accept b side status without hesitation because none of that matters getting a W over your biggest rival is all that matters. To be fair even if Fury had 1 arm and one eye he'd still beat AJ because AJ rattles himself mentally to crazy levels for some weird reason. His brain cells just arnt wired in the way required for a top flight boxer. I have no doubts he'll get outboxed early by Fury then gas out going hail Mary on him and fall over. That's how that fight always would have went and still will.
You guys are still pulling out-of-context comments from the 2010s to try to justify why Joshua won't fight Wilder. Yet, there are countless fights in the 2020s where Hearn said Wilder was next for Joshua, only for Joshua to need a tuneup, or he chose to fight someone else. Hearn said Wilder was next after Joshua signed to fight Miller. (Needed a fight in New York so the Wilder fight would be bigger.) Hearn said Wilder was next after Joshua signed to fight Ruiz the first time. (And Joshua lost). He said Wilder was next after Joshua signed to fight Franklin (Joshua needed a tuneup first). He said it again after Joshua signed a rematch with Whyte. (Needed a tuneup first before Wilder). He said it again after Joshua signed to fight Helenius. (This was going to be the final tuneup.) Then Joshua needed another tuneup against Wallin. (Wilder lost on the same card ... and Hearn was ecstatic.) Then, this year, Hearn said Joshua would fight Wilder as a tuneup before Fury ... Now, Wilder is too "risky" and they are looking at other names. But just ignore all that and keep searching for comments made out of anger from almost a decade ago. Fact is, Joshua will take on just about anyone without tuneups. Always has. No problem. If there's an offer, Joshua tends to accept it. UNLESS it's Wilder. With Wilder, Joshua ALWAYS needs more time. ALWAYS. And it looks like things never change. Oh well, maybe next year, when Wilder's 42 ... I guess.
Malik Scott also wanted a tune up for Wilder before Joshua. And the fight was signed. You need to blame your boy that he wet the bed against Parker.
Wilder had been sitting out for a year (14 months) at that point waiting for Joshua to have "one more tuneup" ... then another "one more tuneup" ... then, yet another, "one more tuneup." He'd have been out the entire year of 2023 expecting to be the next fight. Before each, Hearn would insist Wilder was next. Just one more. Then, just one more. Joshua should've fought Wilder that night. It's one of the few times in their careers Joshua might've gotten a win. Despite all the countless threads insisting Wilder is "nothing" ... Wilder is the only guy they never wanted "NEXT." They always need a "tuneup" first. ALWAYS. Even when offers were flying around (from both sides) ... Joshua and Hearn always said they would fight someone else "first" to prepare ... "then" Wilder. They're still playing the "one more fight" first game. They always dangle a Wilder-Joshua fight, then sign to fight another guy. This time, Hearn said they'd use Wilder as the "tuneup." Now, they are backing out again. Too "RISKY." Still. Too Risky. Even in his 40s, it's still "too risky" for Joshua to fight Wilder. They even have the option, as Hearn said, to make the fight on their own outside Netflix. But, they say they want to "stay the course" with Netflix and are fielding "other names."
I know boxing has been better since he came on the scene, but I cannot stand the guy. Can just tell he's used to lording it over everyone back in Saudi and getting everything he wants when he wants... he's like a spoilt entitled brat and he can't even try and hide it. He treats the fighters like slaves, like they're in a video game and he can just match up whoever he wants when he wants... he doesn't see them as human beings. Watch the Matias-Dalton Smith forced face-off in the ring, it was so awkward.
Joshua is always about to face (and obviously defeat) top competition. He just needs one more fight. One more Jake Paul, Ngannou, Helenius, Wallin, Franklin, 40 year old Pulev, or Rico Verhoeven types, and THEN, get this... He's gonna face dangerous puncher Bakole in Africa. It's absolutely happening. Or he'll face Wilder in America. Or Fury at Wembley. These are all basically signed according to Hearn. If they don't happen, everyone ducked. Joshua always faces the best (ignore the last half decade).

He was asked a yes or no question. A clear answer would be "yes" or "no". Instead he mumbled on about a sparring session when they were kids and something about being a landlord. Not what I'd consider a clear answer tbh.
I've always found that to be a weak excuse tbh. Both fighters had losses, there was no reason they couldn't have still fought anyway.

So? I'm glad you pick Fury. WIth your track record of picking SO MANY wrong guys the last couple years, Aj must have a good chance. Not your fault though, being a size queen. And this game you play, it's not original. Fake over confidence is pretty easy to see through. If Fury beats AJ, good for him. Bea HUGE celebration for the Fury family and fans. I've nothing against that.
