He has another whole year of development and 2017 will be his year, I think - possibly even the end of this year. Based off current rankings, here's 4 or 5 opponents I'd pick out; Chisora, Glazkov, Jennings, Pulev
Put him in there against Wach and Adamek and Szpilka. If he gets through the 3 Pollacks hes ready. Those 3 have been in the ring with some good opposition and fighting them would increase his ring IQ plus the 3 different styles and looks Joshua would see would help. I like Joshua he is exciting. Wach has fought Wlad and Povetkin. Adamek has fought Vitale Spilka has fought Jennings and Wilder.

No issues so far in terms of how it's progressing. These things are always subjective. He just is not ready to start fighting for World titles. The Whyte fight highlighted some flaws which he can address. As long as he stays active and keeps stepping up he is on the right path or at least treading either side of it.
In Boxrec and this ranking thing he was, granted that is generous but so were guys AJ fought too... which is why I didn't single Kali out. There is a strong trend
Nice ranking dude! What's the difference with boxrec's method? I'd still take boxrec over the abc-ratings though.
Agreed, I prefer Boxrec over the ABC-ratings and I prefer this one over Boxrec - though it's still not perfect... it has a lot of logic to ensure people fight guys close to (if not above) their ranking to maintain their place, as well as generally stay active. With Boxrec the only way a fighter loses positions is if they lose fights or other people get higher ratings than them - if they have a big rating but don't fight then they can stay up there for ages. There is a good speel on the PBO site about how they try and keep things as realistic as possible. Naturally these things rely on wins AND losses to find a level, so until a fighter is beaten then it's always going to be hard to find a level... but compared to a pile of other even more imperfect systems I think this one is pretty good.
