I dunno, Holyfield went life and death with pretty much every HW he faced in the early '90s, he just didn't have the dimensions to compete at the weight for extended periods, he would do well and then just get beaten by a bigger dude. The reason he's the only 4x HW champ is because a) alphabet titles are a dime a dozen, but more importantly b) he was just never a dominant force at the weight. AJ is bigger than him and that right hand is his isn't something to be taken lightly. He's a good all-rounder with good power. I can see him getting a tight decision.

I don't think Joshua beats the 90s version of Tyson who mopped up Stewart, Tillman, and had two good showings vs Ruddock.

Would Joshua be favoured against any of the fighters Bruno lost to ? Bonecrusher probably but the others I would say no.

No I meant that AJ would have better luck vs the version of Tyson after the Holyfield fights

My bad, I was pretty tired when I wrote that. I think Tyson was still in a really bad headspace even in the early '90s. He did well against Razor Ruddock but did struggle with him, his endurance wasn't all that great, and he was still bad on the back foot and the inside. If AJ uses the safety first approach we saw in Ruiz 2 in the early rounds, he probably survives the point where Mike is most dangerous. When Mike starts to gas, AJ probably keeps him at the end of his jab and maintains a safe distance, setting him up for occasional right hands to discourage Mike. If he backs him up in the later rounds and starts throwing combinations maybe he gets Mike out of there? I dunno, but I think he's got enough to scrape a decision after some cagey and anxious opening rounds.

Tyson went 12 hard rounds with Ruddock in which hard KO punches were thrown in every round I think his stamina was fine in this fight. And certainly Joshua couldn't survive a fire fight like that for long periods.

As for Ruiz he was a joke in the rematch with Joshua he came in even heavier and it was obvious he didn't respect the world title he just won by not even making an effort in the gym.
