Tough fight to score ringside but with a clear tv view I can’t see giving Angelo more then 4 rounds and he was deducted. Neither guy landed much. You gotta look at all 4 scoring criterias. I had sims winning a close fight or a draw.
There was nothing about Sims that I liked. Absolutely nothing. Angulo rightfully got the decision and it should have been unanimous. Sims posing all night instead of boxing.
Angulo earned the victory. Sims didn't take much punishment at all but he was so incredibly passive it was inexcusable. His own corner were laying into him from round 4 onwards too.
That's a ridiculous comments because his footwork and upper body movement was excellent. You never know he may have been carrying an injury to his hand, elbow, shoulder etc and that affected his output. Anyway I hope that L puts an end to any Sims v Saunders talk because that would be a terrible matching of styles.
I still have faith in him. He possesses plenty of talent but he just fought way too negatively last night. The selection of Angulo as an opponent seemed like bad matchmaking to me because the later doesn't have a name, he was only ranked in the top 15 by one of the governing bodies (WBO#9), and he packs a really heavy wallop and he can take a whack too.
